Superman (1978, PG)
christopher reeve was and always will be the definate superman, fitting the role perfectly, not only superman him self, but his alter ego, clerk kent, perfectly capturing a bumbling news reporter with a secret, a epic story, from his birth to his arival in smallvile, to his life in metropolis, a great origin movie, shows how they must be done, gene hackman is also a great casting choice as lex luther, a good little story going on, john williams score is terrific, with one of the best opening credits ever, maybe even beating williams own starwars. they boosted you will see a man fly, and they delivered there promise, yes it might lok dated by today standerds, but, holds up well, watch carefully the vilains punished at beginning, as they are main focus for villains in superman 2, a exellent sequel to a exellent super hero film, |

Superman II (1981, PG)
contender for greatest sequel with empire strikes back, godfather 2, and aliens, a superb plot involving 3 super beings coming to earth and along with gene hackmans lex luther kill superman, once again christopher reeve is the one and only superman, terrence stamp great as alien leader of the trio, and great action set pieces throughout, especially the fight in metropolis, great story also for superman, battling with his demons |

Superman IV - The Quest for Peace (1987, PG)
badly done, a story the product of the 80s, nuclear weapons and a film trying to give message,,,nuclear is bad, a bad villain in nuclear man, nowhere near the class of villains on show in superman 2. and the days long gone whed you could believe a man could fly, the effects on show are bad, but i have to admit its a good bad film, dont expect the masterpiece of 1 and 2, or even as good as 3, but, they gave it a shot |
