worth a second viewing this as things go all weird, reynolds plays 3 diferent guys in three stories, where all the same peopl turn up, offering all tytpes of advice and trying to get him to do the rtight thing, reynolds who i dont rate that much, handles it well, hes pretty good, although story sometimes confusing, which im guessing is the point, stick with t and youll get a fair idea by the end, and have a little think, the outcome is a odd one, but quite satisfying, a great soundtrack and funny moments keep you watching, watch it then watch it again

a great look at suburbia and a great opening and a bloody start to a interesting film and taking us back to the times when america was in fear of there own, and not post 911 terrorism as it is today, bridges plays a father and teacher of terrorism studies, who believes his new neighbours, tim robbins and joan cushack, are not who they say they are, and further investigates the situation, as he further gets to know them his paranoia grows deeper, is robbins hiding a dark past, which his investigation unearths. a great film here, bridges gets far away from the dude, and his paranoia is great, and robbins showing restraint as a guy who may be the bad guy, this came out 2 years before 9.11 and interesting to see how views on terrorism have shifted focus, it does look like in those days america wasent aware of international terrorism, but this did come out a few years after the oklahoma bombing, so that is definatly a influence, but politics isnt what this film is mostly about, its a great thriller, with an amazing third act, and a twist that i certainly dident see coming, and makes you wonder about all them so called lone gunmen in this world, heres looking at you lee harvey oswald. a great watch

kinneer and brosnan are great as double team. when kinneers business plans go to ruin, a chhance meeting with hitman brosman reverses fortunes, the few days they spend together, teaches him a lot, months later, brossnan who is loosing his edge, tracks down now sucessful business man kinneer to get help with a latest hit he has to do,kinneer gets into situation, and both go about there task, a great edgy indie comedy using talents of both men, doesent outstay welcome and is quite short considering, but well paced and some great comedy moments froom pair

anton yelchin, last seen in good film alpha dog is also really good here as gifted troubled teen from a very priviliged background getting expelled from every private school hes enrolled in, until its time for pubic school, not fitting in, he soon turns to his old ways and breaking rules is on the agenda, things heat up as the school principal played by downey junior in a exellent performance, is on his back, and a sort of guidance and shrink to fellow pupils becomes his hobby, a wel acted comedy but also high on drama, a lot of rushmore is seen throughout, but even though he shares a lot with max from rushmore, theres also diferencees, this guy is a lot more likeable as a person for one, and seemsinocent in his ways a lot of times, not a original film by any means, but enough going forit, ad performances helping a lot

interesting true life story, based on a novelist, whos running out of options when his latest book isnt picked up for publication, he picks up on the idea that, if he tells his publishers he doing a biography on businessman howard hughes, with hughes permission, which he hasent, it will work, as hughes was known for being a recluse, and not talking to his closest business men, so he then takes on the task of writing the book, getting information, from hughes assosiates, and trying to get into the mind of hgughes him self, things get complicated when payment is exchanged, and hughes assosiates are on to what is going on, a great little look at what you can or can not get away with when your subject is a looney like hughes, and a sinister lok at what hughes might have been involved with during his later years of his life, and connectiobs with the goverment, great performances from all, especially alfred molina as geres friend in on the act. a good watch
