jesse james has just commited his final robbery, and about to split up his gang, while robert ford who has just worked his way into rhe gang, idolises jesse, hes been in admiration of him from a young age, after they split, they stick together, and form a unconfortable friendship, and it soon ends, months later, there friendship is re started as jesse recruits ford yet again, but by this time, theres traitors in the gang who are scattered, and soon, ford will feel pressured to give jesse up, this film is amazing, at just over two and a half hourslong its amazing to find theres really no action, this is a story and acting masterclass, and what little action shoot out there is, its really tence and very very minimul, so anyone expecting another 3 10 to yuma will be very disapointed, but those searching for a well acted well paced and great story, this is it, and a brave move to make a western like this in this day and age, pitt is menaceing, really capturing the legend of jesse, and does more with a laugh or a staire, and will scare you, while casey afleck has finaly been discovered, after 10 years doing things here and there, after good will hunting, this could be his year, if he doesent get best actor oscar nomination, i dont know what to say, hes really good in this, a very sad performance, and really getting into charactor, plus all support are on form, the look is mighty fine too, capturing the cold american climate in winter, and i must say a great voice over here, not throughout, but put in places, which really suit, always at a moment when story needs to move forward, or set up back detail, a great desision, think of voiceover at begining of magnolia, how good was that, so a marvellous film, superb western drama, really capturing the times, this has really got me in a very good mood for p.t andersons there will be blood, if my fav current director can do with that what they did here, its gonna be amazing, , so jesse james, best film of the year
