well george clooney certainly is picking the roles for him self, and here he shows once again, he certainly is one of the best actors working today, whod have thought after the disastorous batman and robin, he spend a decade, doing film after film within the studio system, but with edge, from out of sight, and soloris to blockbusters like the perfect storm and oceans 11, even winning a academy award for directing, here hes the title charactor, who is a fixer type employe for a major law firm, hes the guy to send in up front to sence things out, and afterwards cover up any dirty work, hes also deep in dept with the local crime family, when a lawyer for there firm goes a bitb nuts, clayton must step in, to sort things out, and as we find out the lawyer, may have a good reason to be the way he is, so clayton goes up against it not only with infighting at the firm, but the lawyers major client, do they have something to hide, a great thriler, which is not predictable, in fact i wanna see this again, a great look at the business world and double dealings, and where is the moral high ground, clooney plays clooney but a lot heavier acting here than previous films gone are his quirks from oceans 11, and a middle age man thinking about his future emerges, tom wilkinson as the lawyer gone nuts is great as usual, and another faultless american acent, the story keeps you guessing and even though we se a major event happen at the beginning, it doesent spoil the ending when we see it differently, we just know more, yes the ending is total hollywood, but done in way that makes sence, and another great collaberation with steven soderberg on producing duties, these two withb there company section 8 are doing great things, watch this film, and give clooney his due in the acting world

amber tamlin is a schoolgirl unknowingly pregnant, killing it in shock, when it suddenly miscarriges and shes delt holding it in a toilet, and tilda swinton as a physcologoist dealing with her to determin in court if she was in a capable state, focusing on the teens pre pregnant state and aftermath, and swintons own personal demons with her own life. some great performaces from the two, a typical indie american effort, quite edgy looking, and a story although not focusing on eventual trial, is engageing enough
