tom cruise is plays aguy whos so sucessful, he has spielberg turn up at a party, when a former lover crashes the car with him in it, and at same time falls in love with penelope cruz, his life takes over a whole new meaning when hes horribly disfigured, and he has to put life in prospective, a great looking film from cameron crowe, great soundtrack, one of the best, and certainly one of the best newyork films, and watching this film go from romantic drama, to whatever you think it might be, does his life have a whole other meaning, and why are strange events happening

depp is pretty interesting in this and with a oscar nomination, its been well recieved, burton as usual is on gothic form, his dark style coming across well, bonnem carter is the best thing in this, she holds up really well, giving miss lovett a dark but inocent look, all songs performed are well done, and emotion is there, but some fail, the love struck kid, is plain annoying, and gets repeated a few times, the story is the week point, ie never read or seen any other version of todd so cant compare, but feel the set up of todd coming back to london and meeting rickmans gentleman desent convince, as he doesent reconise todd, not even timothy spals charactor, even though todd gets to work at very building he worked years before, but maybe thats a small point and doesent distract to much from whats going on, quite gory too, lots of throat cutting, get past the few little points and a good time to be had

watch this for amy adams in a terrific performance as a disney princess stuck in modern day newyork, finding out about modern day romance.
