Saw IV (2007,  R)
Saw IV 5.0 Stars
The best in the series so far answers questions and adds new ones into the ongoing story line. The question is, when will it all end. Saw IV is still a great movie, not just the first time or the second, but the third as well.

Apocalypto (2006,  R)
Apocalypto 4.0 Stars
Apocalypto is a totally different kind of film to watch. This is the first time i have ever seen a film directed by Mel Gibson. Infact after seeing Apocalypto i can't understand why i have never seen a film directed by Mel Gibson.

Violent action but very original from my point of view, intense, quite moving in places and an unforgettable film for sometime to come.

A modern day masterpiece.

Rendition (2007,  R)
Rendition 4.0 Stars
Alike current movies that are on there way or already out, Rendition shows just part of the on-going war on terror.

Not perfect but in all good respect its a good thriller in itself and well worth a look in, even if you dont think it to be a good movie.

Sunshine (2007,  R)
Sunshine 4.0 Stars
Apart from some of the film being a bit 'what the hell' towards to end, Sunshine brilliantly places eye-popping visuals with edge of your seat action.

The Kingdom (2007,  R)
The Kingdom 3.0 Stars
Bad because there wasnt much more action than what you have already seen in the trailer.

Good for other gripping action sequences and the story line was worth watching.

An emotional and highly moving movie set in 1983, about a troubled 12 year old who ends up with the wrong type of people.

Lions for Lambs 3.0 Stars
Focusing on the same subject as The Kingdom and Rendition did. Lions For Lambs asks questions about the War On Terror instead of dramatising the matter.

Hot Fuzz (2007,  R)
Hot Fuzz 4.0 Stars
How you top Shaun of the Dead? Well heres your answer.

Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead are nothing alike, so if you have seen 'SotD' and didnt like it. Go and see this anyway. You might think, oh same director same main cast its just going to be like 'SotD' well you are wrong.

Action packed all the way, the only dissappointment being there wasnt as many laughs in this as i expected there to be. But still for the film it is you cant really expect many laughs.

Overall very good film, just as good as Shaun of the Dead.

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006,  PG-13)
The Pursuit of Happyness 4.0 Stars
A true story set in 1981, Chris Gardener (Will Smith) is a struggling salesman and his wife (Thandie Newton) who does double shifts to support the family including there son, Christopher (Jaden Smith).

Personally, this film to me was fantastic, an amazing true story acted out by Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith. This movie really does go deep into the lifes that homeless people have and even I didnt realise how hard it was for them till i saw this movie.

Jaden Smith, played an amazing part alongside his real dad playing Christopher, who goes thru his life living in a small apartment.

I really did love this film and its great that father and son in real life can be together in an amazing film not to mention, Jaden was amazing acting along Will Smith thru most of the film.

Overall, great acting and the emotional story, give this 4*. Very different film compared to other films based on a true story.

28 Weeks Later... 4.0 Stars
Sequel turned out better than the first in the series. This has a simple plot but in a good way. A good example of the way a horror movie should be made.

Still as good the second time around.
