Awesome. One of the best superhero/comic book adaptations ever. Robert Downey Jr. was perfectly cast. And the rest of the cast was equally perfect. Some of the best (and funniest) dialogue in a superhero flick. One of the year's best movies. |

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) (2008, PG-13)
Terrific follow-up and an improvement over the original (which I did enjoy). The storyline and script was of the same level as the first, but this one gets its boost from some amazing visuals, great special effects and amazing set design. This part is so tailor-made for Ron Perlman. He is perfect. Among the best films of the year and among the best comicbook adaptations of all time. |

Overall, this was a pretty entertaining movie. Better than the first, not nearly as good as the second. Other hilarious cameo by Bruce Campbell (his best in the series). Great special effects, I could have done without the twist scene. |
