Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991,  R)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
James Cameron became the king of action sequels when he created 'Aliens' and then 'T2'. T2 excels the original Terminator in almost every way; Linda Hamilton's beefed-up heroine, Arnie's good-guy fatherly figure status, the far more intelligent plot is perfectly constructed and of course the magnificent special effects and action sequences. Robert Patrick as the T-1000 almost steals the show from Arnie. The way he self-heals is jaw dropping.

Beauty and the Beast (1991,  G)
Beauty and the Beast
This is the first movie that I watched in cinemas. It is truly one of the greatest animated features ever, and if it wasn't for the action/adventure 'Aladdin', which appealed more to me as a young boy, this would have been my favourite Disney flick. It's more intelligent than 'Aladdin', but who can resist the Genie?
3
JFK (1991,  R)
JFK
Stone creates a terrific mind-blowing, thought-provoking flick about the investigation of one of the most controversial events in history. Fantastic.
4
The Silence of the Lambs (1991,  R)
The Silence of the Lambs
I just wanna eat it with some fava beans and a nice chianti!
5
Thelma & Louise (1991,  R)
Thelma & Louise
It takes you along a road trip of fun excitement and horror.
6
Barton Fink (1991,  R)
Barton Fink
Quite a strange dark comedy (well it is a Coen bros. film). I think this is the first time I've seen Turturro in a lead role and he was excellent. The plot is a weird one but is interesting nonetheless. Ambiguous and creative film making.
7
Boyz n the Hood (1991,  R)
Boyz n the Hood
Strong performances from Gooding Jr. and Fishburne help deliver a strong message about life in the hood.
8
Cape Fear (1991,  R)
Cape Fear
Martin Scorsese's remake of the 1962 classic, although flawed, is almost just as intense as the original. Robert De Niro, like Robert Mitchum, stole the show.
9
Point Break (1991,  R)
Point Break
Keanu Reeves stars as Johnny Utah, a rookie FBI agent assigned to track down a gang of bank robbers. His partner, played by Gary Busey, is convinced that the gang are surfers. Utah is sent undercover to hang out with surfers suspected of being the bank robbers, headed by the wild Bodhi who is played by Patrick Swayze, who use the alias "Ex-Presidents" because they wear masks depicting former US presidents such as Ronald Regan and Richard Nixon when they go out on a heist. 'Point Break' is an action film which includes likeable characters we tend to care about and has some thrilling action sequences like a foot chase through suburban houses, sky diving chases and struggles mid-air, and some awesome surfing scenes. This is a raw and authetic actioner.
10
Out for Justice (1991,  R)
Out for Justice
Brutal and full-on action film of the early 1990s that has some violent and well choreographed fight scenes. Forsythe as the evil and psychotic Ritchie gives a hateful performance and Seagal does a good job with his hands-on approach in tracking down the killer.
