Say Uncle (2006,  Unrated)
Say Uncle 2.5 Stars
Wow. This has to be the most awkward cinematic experience of my life! I adore Peter Paige as Emmett on Queer As Folk, and when I heard that he had made a film, I naturally felt the urge to check out his directorial debut. His character in this film is a sweet and genuinely kind person, but naive to the point where you wonder how he can even function in the real world. He's quite simply, still a child at heart. It's obvious that he never realizes that playing with random children at the park would cause the certain parents of those children to question his motives. To be honest, I felt a little creeped out watching this movie. I know it was meant to be sweet and funny, but instead of Paige's character being the innocent guy that you expect him to be, I thought he came off as more of a potential serial killer. But hey, that's just my opinion. What sucks is that this film could have been quite cute if it had been approached better, and possibly with a larger budget. It did have its moments though. I really, really wanted to love it, because Peter Paige is so perfect in everything else that he does. Perhaps the next film he directs will be more of a success. I truly hope so.

Chuck & Buck (2000,  R)
Chuck & Buck 4.0 Stars
"Chuck & Buck, Suck & Fuck!" Oh wow, what a unique film! Buck is such an intriguingly ominous character! You really can't help but fall in love with him, even if he is stalking his childhood bud. It's innocent enough, from an audience point of view. I'm sure that Chuck fellow found it a bit unsettling being persued day-in and day-out. I couldn't believe how calm Chuck was by the end of this film though. Totally creepy! I love it! Three cheers for ultra dark humour!

Cannibal Holocaust (1979,  NC-17)
Cannibal Holocaust
This is the single most disgusting thing I have ever seen! I would personally love to burn every copy of this shit and shoot those responsible for the making of this movie! The animal killings were completely unnecessary! Anyone who tries to justify this by saying that it helped make the film more realistic, should focus their attention on the sad excuse for "acting." If the actors don't even have the ability to say their lines with conviction, how can you honestly say that the film is realistic? Yeah, yeah, it's an exploitation film, and I should probably get over it, but a five minute scene of a turtle being gutted doesn't exactly turn me on. The scene where one of the "cannibals" takes the top of the monkey's head off with a machete actually made me want to cry. Anyway, I refuse to rate this movie! I wish I had never seen it to begin with. Murdering animals simply to shock your audience is absolutely appalling. Without the animal killings, the movie itself is really quite boring, and not as "sick" as people say. I can deal with pretend rapes and fake cannibals eating fake people, but seeing real animals being killed for entertainment makes me lose faith in the human race.

Jesus Camp (2006,  PG-13)
Jesus Camp 5.0 Stars
Wow. An utterly disturbing look into an Evangelical Christian camp for children. These kids are totally brainwashed. Documentary films are always much more enjoyable when there are no sides taken to the topic at hand. I found this film to be a thorough insight into this specific religion and the way the adults are taking advantage of these children, recruiting them as members of the "army of God." It is wrong on so many levels. Oh, but of course they are not forced into this religion. Ha! I beg to differ. Even the lady who organizes the camp says it's best to get them at a young age because kids are so impressionable and will believe pretty much anything they are told. When watching this, you must focus your attention on their faces. I have never seen such a sad bunch of children in my life. I do wonder how one is "saved" by Jesus at age five. I could never allow religion to rule my life like that! And George Bush is NOT a holy man!

I cannot stand this movie! I suppose there is a point to it, however I did not see it. I wish I could retrieve the hour and a half spent watching this shit. I've never hated a movie the way I hate this one. Every character is so odd, but in an unappealing way. I'd much rather shoot myself in the foot than watch 'The Virgin Suicides' again.

This is the prime example of what you watch at four in the morning while you're drifting in and out of consciousness, and cannot find the remote. God-awful acting, paired with a script that is totally unbelievable, and does not contain a single humourous moment. I don't see how this piece of shit was ever passed off as a comedy. You're much better off filing your fingernails to a nice sharp point and clawing at your eyes for an hour and a half than subject yourself to this rubbish. Just a suggestion.

A better cast would have made this film more enjoyable for me. Gary Oldman was great though.

My brain is having a difficult time processing this movie. I have no idea how to rate it. It was pretty horrible, but I almost pissed myself. Totally random and complete cheese, which is normally something I would be into, but it was... it was... Oh, my God! I don't even know! I'll have to think about this some more.
