Real Genius (1985,  PG)
Real Genius 5.0 Stars
"Real Genius" is a great 1985 comedy film with Val Kilmer as Chris Knight, which I think is a very underrated film. Gabriel Jarret as Mitch Taylor. The film shows us that being a genius is not a bad thing and that you can have fun. The great things about the film is that is has a lot of great humor and the cast is awesome.

Streets of Fire 5.0 Stars
Another very underrated film from the 1980s. Streets of Fire has an interesting look, a 50s look and a 80s sound with music. A film with an interesting style. Michael Pare, Diane Lane, Amy Madigan, Rick Moranis, E. G. Daily, Willem Dafoe and Bill Paxton are great in this film. The songs in the film really rock!, I have the soundtrack on CD.

Modern Girls (1986,  PG-13)
Modern Girls 5.0 Stars
I love this film, great cast and great story. Three girls having some fun in L.A.'s nightclubs, Cece, Margo and Kelly are 3 girls living the nightlife, along with them is Clifford, who had a date with Kelly, but got stood up. Cece is trying to meet up with rock star Bruno X. Another underrated film from the 1980s. A classic 1986 film with great New Wave songs by Toni Basil, Depeche Mode, The Call, Icehouse and a few others. "Modern Girls" has a cool look at the nightlife of the club scene in L.A. during the 1980s.

The Legend of Billie Jean 5.0 Stars
A very underrated film from 1985. "The Legend of Billie Jean" is a great teen film about a girl fighting for justice. Helen Slater and Chistian Slater are superb in this film. Pat Benatar's song "Invincible" is the perfect theme to this awesome film. The great supporting cast include Yeardley Smith (the voice of Lisa Simpson of "The Simpsons"), Peter Coyote, Barry Tubb, Keith Gordon, Dean Stockwell, and Richard Bradford.

The ultimate cult classic science fiction film that every generation will love. "Blade Runner" does show us about life and makes us ask ourselves what it really is to be human. A superb cast.

Eating Raoul (1982,  R)

"Eating Raoul" defines what a great black comedy is all about. Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov are perfect as the couple in the film who kill rich perverts for money to get money to start a restaurant. Robert Beltran as Raoul is also awesome. This is a very funny film with many surprises. A classic film from 1982.

I give this film 2 thumbs up, one of the most original animated films that has a beautiful animation. In a utopian society of Gandahar, a danger is arriving and it is up to Sylvain to stop it. A classic and underrated 1988 film.

A classic 1981 animated feature film. Great stories in it and a lot of great humor, too. John Candy, John Vernon, Harold Ramis, and a few other celebrities make up the great cast of voices for the film and great rock artists like Devo, Journey, Don Felder, Sammy Hagar, Grand Funk Railroad, and a few others.

A really cool film about girls at a privete school for girls. A girl named Christine is in love with Jim, who is at a nearby all-boys school. The guys want to get some girls at their school and go over there disguised as girls. A classic 1983 comedy film starring Phoebe Cates, Matthew Modine and Betsy Russell. The film also stars Ray Walston, Fran Ryan, Sylvia Kristel, and Kathleen Wilhoite.

Porky's II: The Next Day (1983,  R)
Porky's II: The Next Day 4.5 Stars
Though Porky's II didn't have Porky in it, it is still funny and has funny moments in it. The gang from Angel Beach High School at at it with more pranks on eachother. They end up dealing with a reverend who wants halt the Shakespeare play cause he thinks Shakespeare is indescent and the gang deal also with the Ku Klux Klan.

A classic 1987 comedy film with Mark harmon as a P.E. teacher blackmailed into teaching a Remedial English summer class teaching a class of misfits. A funny movie with great characters. The 2 characters , Francis Grimp a.k.a. Chainsaw and Dave both love horror films, especially The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they are so cool. A great film for everyone to see.

John Carpenter's great 1988 science fiction film about aliens on Earth. Roddy Piper and Keith David are awesome in this film. Aliens using Earth for their own personal gain with money and greed. Tiis movie showed a lot of great action and a great fight scene, too. A cult classic.

One of the underrated films of the 1980s. A great film about a girl who dresses as a boy cause she thought she wasn't being taken seriously in a journalism competition. Still a very funny film and great cast. A classic film from 1985. Joyce Hyser, Clayton Rohner, Billy Jacoby and William Zabka make up this great cast.

A great 1983 teen comedy film. Four high school kids go down to Tijuana for a good time and pick up a woman who wants to get a divorce there in Tijuana. The gang have some fun but get into some trouble. Tom Cruise, Shelley Long, Jackie Earle Haley, John Stockwell, John P. Navin Jr, and Henry Darrow star in this classic comedy film.

A very cool horror film from 1983, a very cool and bloody plot about a person trying to get a part in a movie and murder goes on and people are getting killed off one by one. I loved this film when I first saw it on HBO back in 1983 and still love it.

A great science fiction film that really has class. Alien Nation does show a lot of issues we face today. A race of aliens from the planet Tencton arrive on Earth from a slave ship and live on Earth as citizens and have the ability to adapt quickly. A great cast and crew. This film helped create a great TV series on Fox.

Though this Halloween movie had nothing to do with the others and no Michael Myers in it, I think it is an interesting film. The story is great and it has great acting. Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, and Dan O'Herlihy star in the 1982 classic.

A very funny film from 1983, another underrated comedy film from the 1980s. D.C. Cab is the worse cab comapny till Albert helps makes things better. The gang learn some things about themselves and start to work as a team. This is a very hilarious movie with a lot of adventure. Adam Baldwin, Mr. T and Max Gail star in this classic. Gary Busey, Marsha Warfield, Paul Rodriguez, Bill Maher, Whitman Mayo, and an appearance by singer Irene Cara also help make this film great.

A very underrated science fiction B-movie from 1983. A great film with some interesting twists. The characters in the film are very original. Michael Ironside gave a great performance as the evil cyborg named Overdog. Peter Strauss, Molly Ringwald and Ernie Hudson are great in this film, a classic science fiction film.

Talk Radio (1988,  R)
Talk Radio 5.0 Stars
Oliver Stone did a great job directing this film. "Talk Radio" has so much great things about the film, especially the story about the climb to fame. Eric Bogosian is superb as Barry Champlain, the talk radio show host who really talks to his audience. He gets calls from some good people and the wackos. Barry's words not only touch the people in his audience but push a few buttons. This movie is a great drama that makes us look at ourselves. A great movie to see.

A classic slasher film! I remember when I first saw this when it came out in 1984. I am glad they did a movie about a Santa Claus killer. A very misunderstood film cause the parents protested it, they need to not worry about a movie meant for adults.

A cult classic 1984 film with an original script, great cast and music. Emilio Estevez plays Otto Maddox, a punker who loses his job at the grocery store and gets recruited to be a Repoman and gets into some big adventures. A great soundtrack, music by great punk rock bands like The Plugz, The Circle Jerks, Black Flag, Iggy Pop, and many others. I see why this movie is a cult classic. Alex Cox does a great job with this film.

The police must stop him before he tries to kill a prostitute who helped with a sting to arrest Ramrod. A classic 1982 film that has great action.

I really like this film very much, another underrated movie of the 1980s. C. Thomas Howell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Patrick Swayze star in this classic 1984 comedy-drama movie about life in a small town. A high school kid, who has dreams to go study oceanography falls for an older woman and another man is in love with her, a love triangle happens. Jennifer Jason Leigh, the late Troy Donahue, William Windom, John Philbin, Ramon Bieri and Carole Cook are great supporting cast members.

A hilarious film about 4 losers who go to Lepetomene University, the worst college in the U.S., are forced and bribe to participate in a collegiete raft race and have to deal with a Ivy League group trying to cheat to win. A great film starring Tim Matheson, Stephen Furst, Sandy Helberg, and Dan Monahan. The supporting cast include Jennifer Runyon, James B. Sikking, Julia Montgomery, and Jeff East. The film also has great songs by Cheap Trick, Kick Axe, Heart, Randy Bishop and some others, too.

This is a great comedy film from the 1980s, especially it being a Tom Hanks film. He is great in this film as Rick. Rick's friends throw him a bachelor party and it is a very wild night and things get crazier. This film is a classic 1984 movie, still funny to this day.

A very funny 1983 film about a college professor being conned into being a patsy by a pimp named Smooth Walker. Clifford Skridlow becomes Doctor Detroit, a comic book style pimp who is protecting his ladies from the Chicago crime boss known as "Mom". A great musical performance by the late James Brown and a great song in the film by Devo.
