I wasn't too impressed when I saw this the first time, but it felt a little better second time around. I loved the fresh new take on the old Dracula myth. Gerard Butler makes a very good Dracula with his intense, mesmerising stare. Everything else was still a bit lacking.

The last ½h was just a bit too much for me.

One of the best new horror comedies I've seen in a while. There were some scenes I could've lived without, but on the whole, I liked it.
The vampires looked good, though not that original. Kind of Buffy meets Coppola's Dracula.

Vampyr
(1932, Unrated)
The film is visually pleasing - beautiful and eerie. But as I haven't (alas!) read Carmilla, I did not get much out of it plot-wise.
