Antikörper (Antibodies) (2007,  Unrated)
Antikörper (Antibodies)
Antibodies really exceded my expectations on many levels. Firstly as a fictional story of a serial killer, this has to be the best one since ?The Silence of the Lambs?. It was controversial, made you feel uncomfortable in parts, it was casted well, especially in the case of the serial killer.

In terms of World Cinema, this is way up there with the best, it?s also high up there as a Thriller, as there are twists and turns that left me shouting at the tv screen!

If you enjoy films which cover any of these genres (Serial Killer, World cinema and Thrillers) give it a watch, it?s impressive, you won?t be disappointed.

Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others) (2006,  R)
Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others)
A powerful film, but one I feel needs the knowledge of politics in Germany during the 80?s (something I?m not really up to date on). My lack of knowledge on the subject, made this film quite tough to follow until parts were revealed at the end.

Strong storyline and performed well.

The Edukators (Die Fetten Jahre sind vorbei) (2005,  R)
The Edukators (Die Fetten Jahre sind vorbei)
A journey through moral dilemmas and political activism, this film has reached an instant high place within my favourite movies list and it subconsciously invites you to question your own morals which pulls you further into the story.

With just a small cast, this was entertaining throughout and will no doubt be the first of many watches for me.

Before the Fall (Napola) (2004,  Unrated)
Before the Fall (Napola)
An intense Drama of powerful proportions. This is a film about ambition, conformity and above all, questioning beliefs. A film that cannot fail to make an impact on you.

The style of this film was an interesting perspective, aiming the storyline at the Cadet age group, which brought forward some interesting characters and led to some interesting training scenes.

A wonderful performance from Max Riemelt. This film is an instant favourite with me.

Tattoo (2002,  Unrated)
Tattoo
Really good film, be warned it is sub-titles but the story is great.
6
Run Lola Run (Lola rennt) (1999,  R)
Run Lola Run (Lola rennt)
Great use of graphics, photography and music throughout this film. A sliding doors effect film which was intriging yet a little tiresome come the end. Stars for originality

M (1931,  Unrated)

Another disappointment! I seem to be on a run recently of overrated films. The film of course isn?t all bad, I like the actual storyline and it?s bravery of using a child killer in it?s time, the beginning was good and so was the end, but slumped far too much in the middle.

I can see why it?s a popular choice with people, but found parts far too boring.
