The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things
Completely disturbing. Different, sad, and messed up.
2
Irreversible (2002,  Unrated)

5
L.I.E. (2001,  NC-17)
L.I.E.
Some disturbing moments, but overall, this was very good. Everything about this movie was so well done. I didn't figure out who the main actor was until the end credits.
6
The Machinist (2004,  R)
The Machinist
I saw this when I didn't know who was in it, and I didn't recognize Christian Bale until near the end. Whoa skinny!
7
Mulholland Drive (2001,  R)
Mulholland Drive
This movie started it all for me. It's the movie that got me liking weird, twisted movies. I guarantee you will be on the internet searching for what this was all about.
8
May (2003,  R)
May
This movie was so many things: creepy, fascinating, intriguing, and unique. Probably not for everyone though, as the ending was somewhat disturbing. Great movie though.
9
Stay (2005,  R)
Stay
I really liked the transition between scenes. I love twisted movies like this, but why is Naomi Watts in all of them??!! There are way better twisted movies than this though.

Twisted. My kind of movie.
11
The Jacket (2005,  R)
The Jacket
I love twisted movies like this - and Adrien Brody.
12
Inland Empire (2006,  R)
Inland Empire
A darker and more depressing Lynch film. It was creepy of course and hard to follow. Very long though.
13
Eraserhead (1977,  Unrated)
Eraserhead
Extremely disturbing and absolutely weird. How does David Lynch manage to give you the creeps from the inside out?
14
Brazil (1985,  R)

Kind of hard to understand, but really neat to watch. Not as weird as I was expecting. Very different though.

Messed up.

Freaks (1932,  Unrated)
Freaks
Definitely the oldest movie I've seen.
19
Videodrome (1983,  R)
Videodrome
Bizarre, trippy and strange. Definitely different. It had me squirming in my seat (which is very rare). I didn't really like the ending though.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Messed up.
28
A Scanner Darkly (2006,  R)
A Scanner Darkly
This is a drug movie and it's messed up. There are some good twists in the story. I was fascinated. I found it easier to follow than Waking Life. My kinda movie.
29
Waking Life (2001,  R)
Waking Life
What a trip! Visually amazing. Good thing I wasn't on acid when I watched this. Or maybe I was just dreaming I was on acid and this movie doesn't even really exist! ;) I can't wait to see A Scanner Darkly.

What the Bleep Do We Know!? (2004,  Unrated)
What the Bleep Do We Know!?
Very very interesting. It almost plays out like a film one would watch in school. If you like Waking Life, you might like this.
31
Party Monster (2003,  R)
Party Monster
The book Clubland was really good. It went more into depth of the characters and the business. This is based on a true story.
32
Wild At Heart (1990,  R)
Wild At Heart
I liked Mulholland Drive more, but this was very good. It wasn't as hard to follow as some of David Lynch's other movies. I loved the references to Wizard of Oz. They were fun to spot.

The first story, Dumplings was sooo gross. This wasn't very scary though, just really disturbing.
36
Koroshiya 1 (Ichi the Killer) (2001,  R)
Koroshiya 1 (Ichi the Killer)
I felt like I was watching it more for the shock factor than for the story. Very gory and disturbing scenes.
37
Happiness (1998,  Unrated)
Happiness
This reminded me a lot of Magnolia, but much more disturbing. There are a lot of shocking parts in this movie, but it was really good.
38
Palindromes (2004,  Unrated)
Palindromes
I loved Happiness but hated this. It makes you wonder if the director is actually a pedophile. I just didn't need to see that stuff happen. It was interesting in how the main character was played by different actresses, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
39
Naked Lunch (1991,  R)
Naked Lunch
Weirdest movie ever.
40
The Tenant (1976,  R)
The Tenant
The last half got really twisted and that's what I liked about it. It was still a messed up movie though.

Tideland (2006,  R)
Tideland
Weird and disturbing. Almost pointless.

Great list. I like the titles I watched, and the rest will be in my wish list.
