Did anybody else have the Jaws theme running through their head whilst watching this!?
I did. XD
At first watching this I was all like "Heheheh she has teeth in her lady parts mega lolz XD" well I wasn't but you get the idea... and then with each severed penis that came my way I slowly began to adjust that earlier point of view. I mean this has got to be like the ultimate feminist fantasy.
The story isn't that original: an abused woman goes after abusive men with her penis fly trap and deservedly gives them a taste of their own medicine.
This movie is all about its audiences, it knows exactly why people will be interesting in watching it and it doesn't fall short of deliverance. However you might want to re-consider who you watch this with. Potential first dates are definitely out.
The gore in this movie is ideal for the Indie Horror/B-movie that it is. There are moments where you will dare yourself to look even though you are in two minds about doing it! Combine that with an ultimately fucked up story and strong performances and you have what could potentially be one of the year's best horror movies.
You know exactly what to expect!
Us guy's like our tackle in tact thank you very much, watching it severed is like most men's worst nightmare! Unless you're a German canniball and then this movie is just excessively wasteful! Think the end of Hostel Part II but worse.
On another note you never ever get to see the savage clit monster adding just another lovely unkown element for the male species to deal with.
A particular well done to Jess Weixler who has managed to sustain and build on a incredibly complex character who has morphed a firmly established insecure girl to a potential killer just popping out for a quick bite. The scariest thing about this movie is that people can relate to her kind of character... and the dreaded "What-If" style question that accompanies it.
Oh an a even bigger well done to the rest of the supporting cast who didn't mind the excessively gory details of their genitals being shown. You go guys!
And on that note... I won't be watching it again.

One word... Nut-wrenching. Half way through this movie i'm sure every guy in the audience is watching and Covering! The lead, in your face, performance by Ellen Page just really makes you uncomfortable (really destroying that Shaddowcat image) add that with the up close and personal style direction = Ughhh. Moments of it can be quite funny... but I believe that is just to releave the tension. Some of the ethics presented in this movie I personally can't morally condone. Truly Haunting. I have a feeling we might be seing more of Ellen Page in the future.

First introduced to this movie whilst studying Brechtian techniques... surprisingly useful in that sense actually and not a bad movie on the whole. The dialogue in this movie is great, its honest, and therefore to me its very funny. There is a lot of truth in this movie and I think it captures relationships and the whole clubbing scene perfectly. More of a movie that applies to the youth of Britain more than anything. Great editing which is something that i never notice, good soundtrack, and clever direction. However sorry girls but the guys who act in this movie are superiorly better possibly because they have better characters. Some scenes of this movie do drag quite a lot and the movie does have a lot of Clubbing dance scenes... but apart from that this movie definitelydeserves a watch.

What a load of rubbish.... had potential....... ah who am I kidding. Took an hour to write the plot down and it was some twisted mind's little fantasy. Wasn't scary, wasn't uncomfortable to watch... no atmosphere... just gratuitous gore and nudity. Waste of time.
