Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007,  R)
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
"... and she was beautiful". Great cinematography, costume, acting, story etc. This is a very good film. The only thing that was not good was the voices. Carter's voice was silly even Depp's voice. But who cares! The film was very good.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
The best among all the films. As good as Azkaban. They were able to maintain the darkness and the wizardry of Hogwarts. I think the only pull back of teh film is the storyline. It is getting longer and longer and longer. It's fortunate for the people behind the film to have positive reactions even though it's becoming infinite. But looking the film as it its it's quite enjoyable and entertaining.

Lost In Translation (2003,  R)
Lost In Translation
Everyone wants to be found.

There was a comment of IMDB titled "Sometimes the simplest stories make the best films", I definitely agree to this thought. The movie was very simple but the simplicity of the film made it great. Everything was so natural. The acting, the humor, ETC. While watching the film I felt stressed out and depressed but I think that is the feeling that the movie should have. Being depressed in a place alone and having no friends or at least acquaintance. Bill Murray really did bring the whole film. You can feel his sadness. Then when they started to know each other there was a feeling of relief somewhere but the stress was still there. You can feel the awkwardness every time they meet. But the awkwardness was removed in the last scene. The tension finally was cut-off. One of the best scenes I've seen so far. The story was very unique. They were both became an outlet in a place where they were both lost. Really one of the simplest and greatest film I've watched. The director really did a great job.

La Vie en Rose (La Mome) (2007,  PG-13)
La Vie en Rose (La Mome)
American journalist: "If you were to give advice to a woman, what would it be?"
Edith Piaf:" Love."
American journalist: "To a young girl?"
Edith Piaf: "Love."
American journalist: "To a child?"
Edith Piaf: "Love. "

Marion Cotillard did a great job in this film. She was brilliant. About the film, I liked it. Very flawless. One of the best biopics I've watched. It was hard for me to watch this film. Maybe it is because of the language. It was my first foreign language film to watch. I see Edith Piaf as a very strong woman. Marion Cotillard did bring Edith Piaf's life into reality. She deserves her win. I was just sad for the film not being nominated as Best Foreign Language Film. At least, they had the Best Actress.

The Holiday (2006,  PG-13)
The Holiday
I hate "chick-flicks" and fairy-taily films, but this one is VERY good. It's so natural, the acting etc. and it's very realistic. There was a feeling of comfortableness watching the film. It was like a delight watching it. you can feel the optimism of the film. I think Cameron Diaz brought that feeling. The 4 of them really standout. They gave different feelings. I was a bit surprised with Kate Winslet. I wasn't expecting her to do that kind of role. I always expect her to do very dramatic roles but she did quite well. I expected actresses like Reese Witherspoon or Drew Barrymore. Anyway, because of this film I discovered that Jack Black can do something not farce. All of them did good. Watch it.

Boys Don't Cry (1999,  R)
Boys Don't Cry
"Dear Lana, By the time you read this I'll be back home in Lincoln. I'm scared of what's ahead, but when I think of you I know I'll be able to go on. You were right, Memphis isn't that far off. I'll be taking that trip down the highway before too long. I'll be waiting for you. Love always and forever, Brandon."- Brandon Teena

A great film (based on true events). Hillary Swank and Chloe Sevigny did a great job in this film. One of the best biopics I've watched. The movie was very simple but because of the acting, the movie became one of the best. Not a happy film definitely but satisfying. It's great to have at least a peak on Teena Brandon's life. I feel sad for Teena Brandon. With all the controversies, Hillary Swank deserves the award. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is thinking this. She deserves her Oscar.

Moulin Rouge! (2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
"I don't need you anymore! All my life you made believe I was only worth what someone would pay for me! But Christian loves me. He loves me! He loves me, Harold. And that is worth everything! We're going away from you, away from the Duke, away from the Moulin Rouge!"- Satinne

Remarkable. The first parts of the film was a waste of time but the ending saved the day! That one of the greatest ending in film history (I don't want to say it). ONE OF THE GREATEST ENDING! I couldn't stand the first part of the film. I hate musicals but this one rocks!

The story of you and me against the world is quite traditional and over-used but what they did to tell that story is unique. Very poetic but sometimes irritating. The film being a tragedy is quite ironic. All of the song numbers are very lively, joyful and energetic but when it comes to the two of them doing a song number it turns out to be sad or very romantic. Maybe they did that to show that Satinne and Christian doesn't belong to the world where they are but instead they belong to each others world. That if ever one will be gone the other will also be gone. And that's what happened.

Doubt (2008,  PG-13)
Doubt
"I have doubts. I have such doubt"- Sister Aloysius Beauvier

Great movie. Starred by great actresses and a brilliant actor. They deserve their respective nominations. About the film, it was exciting and great. I was craving for the ending (in a good way). It was one of the simplest film I've seen. Without a DOUBT everyone working in this film has the greatest talents on earth. They made a great film with very minimal of everything. One one the best endings ever! The ending makes you think as an individual, did he do it or not? There's no clear ending. That's why I love it.
