Tango & Cash (1989, R)
OK,how pointless this movie can be?I know, shooting people for no particular reason, betrayals and afterwards bonds for two innocent macho police officers, villains all over the place (is that a vengeance tale?) and by all means, the perfect morality in the finale only modern Hollywood knows how to achieve... |
|
| 104 |
Spice World (1998, PG) |
|
| 105 |
Co-ed Call Girl (1996, Unrated) |
|
| 106 |
It Happened in Athens (1962, Unrated)This picture contains a historical example of forgiveness...Zeus almighty, pray this Mansfield bitch go straight to heaven so we can enjoy inferno all we like.I laughed most of the times to measure the tears in my eyes. Not for the lack of accuracy nor that miss Kalogeropoulou was in it,hehe.I pity the audience who sat through it... |

|
| 123 |
Revolution (1985, PG)
That's a poorly constructed "epic" film.Under the shadow of the forgotten ancestors, the quota I can provide you with...pardon me,correct...remove you from ever watching an insult to moral, mental and majestic dignity.Pacino,Sutherland,Hudson, robotic crew?If it were made by the Puthons,we'd be talking about a new masterpiece,however..if you are not a fan of miss Kinski's delicate face,I suggest you fall into a coma compared to the indefinite suffering. |

|
| 131 |
Blast from the Past (1999, PG-13) |
|
| 132 |
Bedazzled (2000, PG-13)
I suppose it's a remake.Don't know the factual details yet...oh,who are we kidding?Ramis' decline of the intelligent comedy!Damn you, follow your footsteps back and prevent this mess of a "movie".Of course, when you have Fraser who can't act and a stupid miss "beauty" for the crap masses, the result is as "ugly" as a bouquet of withered flowers. What about the screenplay?Slightly better than other parts of his filmography. There are no jokes, only banal moments of pseudo-wisdom. |

|
| 145 |
Inspector Gadget (1999, PG) |
|
| 146 |
S.W.A.T. (2003, PG-13)
These are not movies. It's obvious.Fans will exist,it's an important cycle.A club I should say.The same club that supports Rockys and Rambos. This time we're involved with a t.v. series early canceled and a renovation of the S.W.A.T. trend in film.I don't care if it doesn't contains the slickness and bulk of the series,a mere excuse for a piece of trash and a fascist meat machine of "cops" doing what the law demands.Folks, just get to the old movies like Bullitt.Screenplays were meaningful back then. |
|
| 147 |
Up Close & Personal (1996, PG-13)
Here's another stereotype of the American (U.S. that is) pile of rubbish every day.I mean, compared to this,One Fine Day looks like a masterpiece!Anyway, dull process of events,I don't really care how true this story is,when you're dealing with "huge" actors, you expect a decent performance, not a Way We Were romance mr Redford (may i pin-point Star is Born?),such a talentless director mr Avnet... |
|
| 148 |
The Specialist (1994, R) |
|
| 149 |
Trapped (2002, R) |
|
| 150 |
Sudden Death (1995, R) |
|
| 151 |
Scoop (2006, PG-13)
Woody Allen has directed, written and played (mainly) on his own films,a lot of them considered to be (and I mostly agree) pinnacles of intellectual and inspiring comedy.Scoop is not one of them.In fact,I detest Scoop with all my heart (and I thought Jade Scorpion was the one I did).Scoop is exactly what the word says...reversed.Ha,if one can call Allen an obnoxious slob, then here is the chance.Another cute screenplay, another idiotic protagonist duo, another one of those flicks by the New Yorker brain. |

Chariton's Choir (I Horodia tou haritona) (2005, Unrated)
The typical example of a shallow Greek film and how to avoid it.A:focus on the original-but-with-foreign-nostalgic-inspirations scenario,B:cast a recent Greek legend as the lead just because he is WELL-KNOWN abroad,C:explore love and touching moments in a dead end happy-ending finale...I believe I shall rest my case... |

She Hate Me (2004, R)
I will forgive thee Spike.Just don't give me an Inside Man sequel or an ambitious-anti-yuppie-project that includes rivers of tedious blockhead performances and wooden outcomes,oh,and judicial soliloquies. It's not about the Benjamins, still,I dare you simplify once more the corporal travesties and I will start believing in God! |

Oh, my. We agree on at least 200 of these!! But, come on! Some films here are at least mediocre! How can you hate "Horton Hears a Who!" or "The Holiday" or "Click?" They are...sweet movies at least! You have no heart! :)
