Almost Famous (2000, R)
A teen movie with a difference. Sex, drugs & Rock n Roll. Great music soundtrack, particularly the use of ?Tiny Dancer? on the tour bus, that's a great scene. Anyone with an interest in bands from this era will find this an interesting watch. |

Amores Perros (2001, R)
Utterly brilliant! Completely worthy of all it's praise. If you like films where various stories intertwine then this is an absolute must. |

Gladiator (2000, R)
I have a strange routine with big films such as this one where I tend to wait until all the hype has died down and I can watch it without jumping on the band wagon, hence, quite unbelievable I know! This is my first viewing of this film. |

Hollow Man (2000, R) |

Memento (2000, R) |

Men of Honor (2000, R) |

Requiem for a Dream (2000, R)
Requiem for a dream is a cleverly put together story, showing the lives of four drug addict, three addicted to narcotics and one to prescribed drugs. |
|
| 17 |
Sexy Beast (2000, R)
A superb performance by Ben Kingsley who had the accent and style of talk down to an absolute ?T?. The film itself and storyline seemed to lack something I can?t quite put my finger on. Less convincing to British viewers was the idea of Ian McShane, aka Lovejoy as the top guy. |
|
| 18 |
Shanghai Noon (2000, PG-13) |
|
| 19 |
The Beach (2000, R)
Yet another watch for this beautiful film, a backpackers paradise and a journey of discovery not only geographically, but also from within. |
|
| 20 |
The Crimson Rivers (Les Rivières pourpres) (2001, R) |
|
| 21 |
The Gift (2000, R)
This film has always been a favourite of mine, it?s a great supernatural thriller. Cate Blanchett (as always) gives a very strong performance, a likeable performance too from Giovani Ribisi. |

Traffic (2000, R)
I was really expecting some kind of over the top, Hollywood action film and was pretty impressed to see a more serious, quite realistic type of film, with great acting. Don Cheadle is fast becoming one of my favourite actors. |

Under Suspicion (2000, R)
A unique investigation story into two young murdered girls, this is an extremely powerful and controversial part for Gene Hackman, which for me has to be his best role to date. |

What Lies Beneath (2000, PG-13)
The thing that makes this film work so well, is the cleverly placed, typical Horror type scenarios, that never seem to materialise, yet keep you waiting for them to happen, check through the film, they are all there. Hence this becomes an edge of your seat Thriller, with heightened intensity that keeps your mind challenged. |
