8 Mile (2002, R)
There will no doubt be many people who have passed this film up either because they do like Eminem or they do not like the Hip-hop scene in general and I would say that would be a fair reason, you would at least have to like the Hip-Hop scene a little to enjoy this film. |

Antwone Fisher (2002, PG-13)
A remarkable tale based on a true story, I was gripped from start to finish. Derek Luke, I thought played a fantastic part and it was a good performance from Denzel too, who also Directed the film. |

Bad Company (2002, PG-13) |

Chicago (2002, PG-13)
Beautiful and stunning, sexy and sassy. A thirst for fame leads these ladies to prison to head straight for Murderers Row where they meet a clever lawyer whose spin can turn murder into showbiz. |

City by the Sea (2002, R) |

Gangs of New York (2002, R)
A hugely impressive film from Martin Scorsese, everything in the movie is on such a grand level, acting, scenery, it?s epic length. |

Hable con Ella (Talk to Her) (2002, R)
An original and unusual storyline and set of circumstances. There was one particular scene that was quite bizarre and I?m sure if you?ve seen it you will know immediately of which one I?m referring to, but the main plot is a much more serious and interesting story, which I felt made compelling viewing. |

Heaven (2002, R)
This Itlian speaking film (with a small amount of English speaking) is a little slow moving, but has a very interesting story. Cate Blanchett of course (as always) is brilliant, pairing with Giovanni Ribisi once again, who also gave a great performance. |

I Am Sam (2002, PG-13)
A film I'm really fond of, I remember the first tim of watching this, at the beginning I thougt it was going to be a rip off of Rain Man, but Sean Penn made this character his own and the onscreen relationship between him and Dakota was pure chemistry. The story itself makes you ponder the dilemma, whilst also bringing a smile to your face. |

Ice Age (2002, PG) |

In America (2003, PG-13)
At first impressions this film seemed to be quite slow moving and didn't seem to be heading in any particular direction, however as the storyline progresses you become emotionally involved with the intense performances by the whole cast. |

Irreversible (2002, Unrated)
Told in the tradition of that in "Memento" i.e the storyline is played backwards, the film opens with a very visually dark scene accompanied by a pretty bizarre sound (that's still running through my head!! ha ha), along with some very dizzy filming, the viewer isn't particularly aware of what is going on straight away, but within the first couple of scenes the storyline developes and of course you are intrigued to know, how it all began. |

Minority Report (2002, PG-13) |

| 15 |
Murder by Numbers (2002, R)
I love this film and have watched it over and over, Ryan Gosling and Michael Pitt play great roles as young school kids plotting a more than perfect murder. |

Nine Queens (Nueve reinas) (2002, R)
I hadn?t realised the film CRIMINAL was a re-make, of course it didn?t take me long to realise that this was the original film. I usually prefer to watch the original first, but found both equally entertaining and enjoyed both portrayals of characters in each film. |

Red Dragon (2002, R)
I can?t count the number of times I?ve watched this particular instalment to the series, but it?s cast alone is very impressive. Unlike the film ?Hannibal? Red Dragon is the film out of the four that is most like the original film ?The Silence of the Lambs?. With a unique way of telling the story (in terms of going backwards in order of instalments) the story unfolds and gives insight into how Dr Lecter was captured in the first place. |

Sex and Lucia (Lucía y el sexo) (2002, R)
One of the strangest storylines ever, which confuses the viewer throughout, that I think, is the beauty of this piece. There is something quite addictive about the story. This is a film that definitely benefits from multiple viewing |
