Mikishwatiwa...
My favourite Asian movies, most of which star the stunning Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi! These actresses have acted in so many incredible movies alone and together! If you are interested in Asian culture, these movies are splendidly done and should definitely be considered next movie night!

Tragically beautiful, with an exotic twist. The plot is sensational and the acting is fabulous. Every moment was like "Wow" for the eyes, mind, and ears. Sheer pleasure!

An amazing Chinese adaptation of Hamlet, set in the almost-era of the Tang dynasty. Zhang Ziyi gives an impressively cruel portrayal of her magnificent role, and Zhou Xun is expressive both in her acting as well as her singing. Tan Dun again, creates an impressive soundtrack, mixing Western and Eastern sounds. Pianist Lang Lang weaves his impressive musical skills into the movie's music as well.

I barely remember it, but it was beautiful in both plot and photography. I should watch it again! Such a wonderful movie! The soundtrack was written magnificently by the famous Tan Dun, and the cello music was done equally as well by well-known cellist Yo-yo Ma.

The soundtrack sounds absolutely beautiful...it's very exotic and lush sounding! Zhang Ziyi sings a solo based on a famous Chinese poem in the movie. It's absolutely wonderful! She also acts as a dancer in the movie too. Singing, acting, dancing, marshal arts, is there anything Zhang Ziyi CAN'T do? Wonderful plot.

It sounds so interesting...the drama and the plot. It must be really fasciniating to watch three seperate generations of daughters acted out by one actress - Zhang Ziyi, who happens to be my number one favourite!!

A new movie with elaborate sets and costumes, but unfortunately has some acting and filming faults that make the movie a little corny. Beautiful promotion of the film though! Hope to see the whole thing soon.

The plot of the movie is filled with intrigue and twists with much emotion. Gong Li stars, always a good thing when it comes to movies. I've never heard of this one before, and hope to see it someday!

The plot seems quite unique and appealing. The cover looks fantastic! Can't wait to see it.

Apparently Zhang Ziyi sings and speaks a little Japanese in this movie. Dancing as well in this operetta, she speaks mostly in Mandarin, but remains true to the wonderful plot.

Sounds interesting - another fantastic marshal-arts drama by Zhang Ziyi!

Zhang Ziyi sounds very moving in this movie. Not my idea of an ideal plot, but it is supposedly good for fans of slow emotional drama and of Zhang Ziyi.

Sounds interesting! Apparently the debut movie of the stunning Zhang Ziyi. I'm glad she's so famous now, because I absolutely adore her on the screen!

Maybe it looks a little risqué at first, but Zhang Ziyi looks very stunning from what I can see. I'm curious about the plot from the title and promotional pictures though, so maybe I'll see it soon...

It has Jet Li! It sounds very thrilling and exhilarating.

A probably exotic movie set in Japan. The title intrigues me, as it is an Asian-themed movie, but a white person takes the lead...?

A bit twisted and freaky, but still, it has Gong Li...might NOT see it. Still, it is an Asian movie....

I'm not too sure what the movie is about, but it sounds very interesting, about the power of women, etc. And it has Gong Li, so yay.
