Great movie! Here is an interesting zombie flick brought forth by Dan O'Bannon. The beginning sequence of the movie is simply superb, and gotta love that bell chime and synthesizer that rolls with the opening credit. The overall story plot reflects a group of teens wanting to find a place to hang out and have some fun, so they choose a nearby graveyard while waiting for their friend to get off work. While their friend Freddy is dealing with his own problems at work, they start to notice that things are starting to happen in the graveyard with the 'dead' returning from their graves. The overall movie depicts the groups' efforts in staying alive, with a bit of humor to boot. The group of friends are an interesting sort, and it is topped off with Miguel A. Nunez Jr.'s character "Spider". Great zombie effects and characterization. Good music. Absolutely love The Cramp's 'Surfin Dead.' Definitely worthy! This is definitely the best of all the 'Living Dead' collection.

This is one of several highly favored films in my list. It's indeed a joy.

Humorous movie within a lighter setting.

Hilarious! For some odd reasons, I liked this one! It contained every bit of hilarity that brings forth elements of comedy.

Megan:Does anyone have anything sharp?
Frank:They consficated my toenail clippers..pearl handle, with matching tweezers...quite lovely.
Truman:Damn, Frank. You should have brought those. You could have saved the day.
Frank:You never know.
Paul:How much ammunition you have left?
Truman:I got five in here and one clip. What about you?
Paul:One full clip, five more.
Truman:Shit.
[Frank opens storage, pulls out electrical cords]
Frank:Hey, maybe we could electrocute the bastards.
Truman & Paul:No, don't do that!
[Frank yanks cords out, sparks fly. Lights go out]
Megan:Aah!
[Dark. Frank lands on the floor, holding his head]
Frank:I guess that could have gone better.
[Frank gets back up on his feet]
Truman:Frank, you stupid shit. Please tell me you're dead.

It had great effects, the dialogue was cheesy!

This film was mind-boggling but nonetheless interesting in set of watching a man's transformation. Very cool!

This is a great attempt in re-making Romero's 1968 film. Tom Savini did a fantastic job.

No shocker here with the criterias of zombie genre. Although the setting at a rave was interesting, a mass lunching! Hmmm. Now, that was worth watching. Brownie points for the gory scenes though.

This is an outstanding film within the "Return of the Dead" collection.

A good film but lack adrenaline-induced action. It appears that the creators thought having nude semblance meant more.
Overall, it would have been great if the plot had strength.

Before watching, I had no idea what this movie was about. No expectations whatsoever.
Mid-film: I didn't know what to make of it.
At the end, I was thinking about a glimpse of a connection to "Rainbow and the Serpent." In a millionth of a glimpse, but not much. Mind you.

The gore: Check! The plot: Check! This movie earns points in that its viewed in a video game setting. Very interesting!

This movie was interesting in respect to the criterias of zombie genre. It's good to see a female take the lead in this.

I loved the beginning trend in the film. Very key to the progress of the plot. Although the comedic scences were too happy/go lucky, and the irony wasn't there. That's important to having a great zombie film.

Hmmmm...I thought I rated this one. Oh well! Seen it. Quite interesting. Steve Miner directs this movie. An interesting cast. Good story plot. Although I like the zombie aspect of this, I think I prefer the namesake. It would have been nice to see Rhodes make it though. Quite worthy.
