ZZZ) INCOMPLETE (IMDB Horror)

Alfred Hitchcock?s most famous film, inspired by the Serial Killer Ed Gein. This sinister tale still works with great effect today and Anthony Perkins was perfect for this role. The set, the plot and the music all add to the eeriness of this film and must have been quite a fright to people at the time of it?s release, it was also, (I thought) very forensically aware for it?s time, in regards to the ?clean up?.

Hitchcock at his best!!!!

One big yawn from start to finish ? a very overrated film in my opinion.

Steven King, Stanley Kubrick and Jack Nicholson, a match made in heaven.

No so much a scary horror, more of a tense eerie one. Nicholson makes a great crazy psycho and there were great performances from Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd too.

Like most of Stephen King's stories, it was a little drawn out, but it was as weird and wonderful as you might expect.

Claims to be 'possibly the best horror film ever made', well I wouldn't go that far, but it was certainly one of the better horror films of that time, of course the term 'horror' used for this movie is far from what we would call 'horror' in this day and age.

Reading the synopsis, kind of gives the story away a little too much.

There was something pretty intriguing about Mia Farrow in this film.

Found it even more hillarious this time around, great cast of British comedy performers, too many funny bits to mention, just a must see British film.

My favourite scene though has to be the one with the woman in the garden.

Extremely slow moving and hard to keep watching. The style of filming and the methods used throughout to interpret the state of mind were intriguiging and of course you can see the Polanski stamp here. The slow moving pace certainly emphasised the more graphic scenes, but for me the storyline was a little to weak and boring.

Halloween is certainly one of the better acted Horrors of rthe 80?s . A tense beginning and end but lacked suspense in the middle.

I think Michael Myers is slightly overrated as a Horror Icon, as it?s the actual Knife I feel captures the fear.

Definitnely worth a watch and gives enough curiostity to warrant watching the second in the series.

What starts out as a potential love story, with flirtatious games, grows rapidly into a horrific (and certainly scary in it?s day) tale of a community infested with relentless vicious birds.

?Tippi? Hedron (an Actress I admittedly had never heard of) made quite an impression as Melanie; a headstrong powerful woman of her time, who goes after what she wants. If you?re able to access the Special Features there is a screen test of her, that is quite an interesting watch.

Certainly one of the most known films of Hitchcock and definitely a good watch for fans of the Director.
