This was...eerrr...I really don't have words for it! lol! Chris Atkins was ok, been a while since I've seen him in a movie. Gross is just a sad sad case for me, wow...he needs to just quit now I think. Over all it was ok and to watch it once is plenty...

I tuned in thinking this would be as painful as some of Asylums other releases. What I got was one bloody fantastic entertaining cheapo film. 100 million BC is a 100 million times better than 10 million BC and that had a HUGE budget. This film just fucking rules. It has poor over...( read more) acting "JUST TAKE THE FUCKING PILLS", bad special effects and a girl with nice breasts. It defies convention by not having a main character, meaning anyone can die at any time as the time hopping brings about new twists. I wasn't bored at all and the film delivered in it's cheesy charm kind of way. Also some of the puppet Raptors were awesome and made me giggle. For £2.97 in Woolworths, I may even buy this.

An elite military team. Sent back in time. They will not return...alone.

An 85 minute cinematic fart going off right in front of your face!

One of the remaining scientists from the failed Philadelphia Experiment, Dr. Frank Reno, leads a team of...( read more) United States Navy SEALs back in time to approximately 70 million BC. Their mission is to locate people who were sent back to this place in time during the 1940s. The group all comes close to death as they are attacked by a carnivorous dinosaur only to be rescued by the people they are looking for. Eventually the group makes it to the time portal that will take them back to the year 2008. One person must stay back in time in order to close it and Frank Reno is happy to oblige. Just as everyone has gone though and as Frank is about to close it, a massive Tyrannosaurs Rex comes out of nowhere and makes it through to the year 2008. Now in modern Los Angeles, this beast will wreak havoc and eat people until it is eventually shot by one of the millions of weapons humanity has at its disposal.

This direct to home video release was distributed by The Asylum, a company which tries to capitalize on other major motion picture successes. The titles this company spews out are dubbed "mockbusters" by the press. 100 Million BC is a mockbuster with resemblance to Jurassic Park. The title is similar to One Million B.C. and Roland Emmerich's 10,000 BC. This film is a slap in the face to all humanity and makes you think that it was made by people at a mental asylum. If you see something by the company, The Asylum, you'll probably have a better time watching paint dry

The cover for this movie actually doesn't look that bad. You have the title 100 Million BC above a four Tyrannosaurs' and there are tanks and helicopters flying around it. Those things are all misleading because firstly, the film doesn't take place in 100 Million BC; it takes place in 70 Million BC. Secondly, the main T-Rex looks like it's a picture from Jurassic Park and the other T-Rex's look like shit. There are no tanks seen in this film and the helicopters shown are not even the same as the ones in the film.

The acting in this flick is stiffer than a board and B-quality. I've seen less stiff acting coming from a ventriloquist dummy. Michael Gross is the main title actor and he is well known among the Tremors fanbase for playing the gun nut, Burt Gummer. Here, he doesn't get to fire any guns and when I saw that I nearly pissed an A-Bomb. The visual effects are low grade and the CGI looks like it is from a Play Station 1 video game. All the sound effects are from a soundboard and overused. The guns will be firing but no bullets are spewing out of the magazine, it is just the same old sound effects on repeat. The editing is done in such a way to be quick and minimize production costs. For instance, you'll see a dinosaur, then in half a second it eats a guy, and then it's gone. The army dudes will be firing off their guns at the air but the director hopes you'll believe they are trying to shoot at the creature.

This film can be bashed until it is dust but it does have some nice landscapes when the gang is sent back in time. Conspiracy Theorists might actually want to watch this because it makes reference to the "actual" Philadelphia Experiment and Project Rainbow.

The only reason you would watch this is if you were extremely bored or if you and someone else were looking to laugh your heads off at how bad this flick is. People who consider Batman and Robin to be the worst film ever made would think completely different after watching this piece of cine-shit.

Combining time travel and this low budget looking movie are not my idea of a good time.
