great movie but the one thing that has always annoyed me about this movie is how could 101 puppies make such a horrible coat. thing about the texture? ew.
Love it!! I was more interested in this than the live action film with Glenn Close of what she looks like and what she wears. Particularly her hair and her coat. She has to be one of the most famous animated characters of all time. Also, Horace and Jasper remind me of other villain's henchmen or sidekicks like Shenzai, Benzai and Ed (The Lion King) with Scar, Pain and Panic (Hercules) with Hades, Iago (Aladdin) with Jafar and Flotsam and Jetsam (The Little Mermaid) with Ursula. I think Cruella is the most vicious and deadly than any of the other Disney villains because she wants to skin puppies and make them into a coat which is absolutely crazy. She is that because she buys every single Dalmatian in London to use as a fur coat. She should be in a mental house not prison. She is quite creepy aswell because she is like obsessed with spots and also black and white clothings. This is my 5th favourite Disney classic after Pinocchio, The Fox And The Hound, Beauty And The Beast And Aladdin.
It's a solid Disney effort. Lovable and despicable characters. I suppose the right-wing thinks it's pushing a liberal agenda, somehow. Fucking persecutionists.
A movie about boarding a whole mess of puppies, with no consequences, as a man adopts some dogs that go on a caper, only to have more show up, a lot more. An evil witchy lady wants to make fur coats ut of dalmation dogs, (an obvious stab at the fur industry and mink coats), and the heroic dogs are captured, so they have to be rescued. Actually a fun movie, if not heavy-handed and a little dark, (about needlessly killing animals). How this guy is going to raise 101 dogs isn't ever addressed, despite the cute song. He can't possibly afford to make a dalmation plantation in his home
More than any other film, this is the film that had an impact on my childhood - and still reverberates in my memory, my view of animals, and my loathing for any human who would deliberately hurt the creatures we share this planet with. May Cruella deVille raost in agony forever. Oh how I hate that woman with every fiber of my being. EVERY FIBER!!!
I know it's not technically one of the best Disney movies, but this is tied with The Jungle Book as my favorite. Cruella De Vil is one of the great movie villains of all time. Very entertaining, and somewhat sad, this Disney movie manages to still be a classic after all these years!
My goodness this movie is a classic, I fell in love with it immediately!! Having Dalmatians when I was growing up made this movie so enjoyable, I love this film more then any other Disney production!
Good classic. Plus the fact that they gave most of the puppies personalties, it was crazy. You will find yourself falling in love with these little guys and the movie.
I love all disney animated movies because it is all so interesting and fun to watch. The whole process of making an animated film still fascinates me. This movie will make you understand the meaning of family! No matter how big or small your family is, your parents will always love you.
in the same way that it is portrayed by animals some of the issues are very real human issues and it also stands for animal rights, but without punishing the perpetrators who commit it.
I mean Cruella just crashes her car into Horace and Jasper, no one catches her and she's not brought to justice.
She just isn't able to kill 101 dogs, that doesn't tell you whether or not she went on to slaughter pandas or something.
I think a lot of the dialogue was easy to be made light of for children because most of it was English terminology.
I remember as a kid not understanding that Horace and Jasper were going to kill the dogs and skin them.
I basically got the concept but as an adult its like... Oh my god and Disney is marketing this kind of stuff to Children?
This film only has 1 song in to too, which is the Cruella Deville song.
In a way I believe its almost marketed towards an older audience like 11 to 14.
Its a well told story and the animation for the film is pretty interesting, I just wonder why Cruella was never arrested or anything.
As a kid you don't care but seeing it now I wish they'd done something like that, because my 3 year old was asking where the "Bad Lady" was after the movie was over.
So even she was wondering what happened with that.
Two dalmations fall in love and so do their masters. htey have a bunch of puppies. Cruella Deville wants the puppies to make a fur coat. She steals them and its up to the dogs to save thir puppies. Only to find much more.
Such a sweet movie that is greatly animated! I love the way the story develops and there is a lot of humour in it. I prefer the other film though, taken part by real people, but still this one is good.
