This is just like Glengarry Glenross. ALL superior acting and a great story remade. The cast is ridiculous. I could not believe how many people I saw while watching and going..."no fucking way." For a remake, it's well-upheld. Not like modern day remakes, like the shit-tastic remake of Halloween. See 97's 12 angry men. The cast, the fact alone they get this many great actors in the same room and film is gold jerry!

I was very pleasently impressed with this remake. I am a big fan of the original version and I think they did a very good job of updating it. Of course, the actors all all heavy hitters and some of my personal favorites. Good actors, good script, good movie.
brilliant, haven't seen it for ages but great script and moving story, great performances and a benchmark for others to follow. good to understand justice as a kid - that's the pwer of film
The 1997 version of 12 Angry Men was a major disappointment for me. Was an ok film, but it had to be something special to get anywhere near the original.
I believe, when it comes to remaking a classic like this, they should do it justice. This remake doesnt do that.
This is a good movie. My only problem with it is that it is another one of those remakes that should never have been made. I don't understand why Friedkin did it. The Henry Fonda version is just so fantastic. I love everybody that is in this cast but Jack Lemmon, no matter how fantastic he is just doesn't live up to Henry Fonda in the lead role. I'm going to give this version four stars because as a stand alone film it deserves it but watch the Fonda version, it's a five star classic.
Nice adaptation of the Reginald Rose play, if not superior to the original one (in 1957) starring Henry Fonda and directed by Sidney Lumet. Enjoyable courtroom drama with a good performance from Jack Lemmon, reprising the Henry Fonda character, and also a nod to George C. Scott doing the Lee J. Cobb routine.
Yes, this is an important movie... I have worked on it in college... Really nice, this is my career... Basandose en los intereses no en las posiciones ;)
There is very little to distinguish this 1997 remake of Twelve Angry Men from its 1940s original. Among the few differences are typically great performances from Jack Lemon and Courtney B. Vance that are sadly diluted by the extreme overacting of George C. Scott and the soulessly half-assed attitude of Tony Danza. Exorcist director William Friedkin does a fine job of attempting to keep the film grounded in its theatrical roots, although it can get quite dull simply reviewing old facts over and over, and only vitriolic interjections from the token black supremist make these areas of contention barable. If you've seen the original, you may not want to watch this version of Twelve Angry Men. If not, your more than welcome to it.
Bizarrely, I saw this film in psychology, as it was used to demonstrate the power of conformity in criminology. Besides that though it's a very good film indeed
Jury room drama that makes a striking point about one of the most important aspects of law: Reasonable doubt. It's also quite disturbing in the way that it exposes the small minded attitudes of an uncaring society, although these are overcome by a more noble ideal in the end: Humantiarian belief in Justice
