hey guy's i have 2 say it was a great movie over all but i didn't get anything from it at the end. What am i missing from the ending cause i think it was supposed to be freaky?

July 9, 2007this movie wasnt meant to be a horror movie. It's a mystery/suspense/thriller.

July 7, 2007wen i saw the poster i thought it was not scary n i went n watch it @ night. omg,coming back home was a terrible thing for me. so as ur friend i will ask u never watch it @night becuz u don't want to be like me.

July 5, 2007i agree it wasnt scary and i didnt like that he got out then back in... but see this was based on a stephen king short story which means hollywood added a lot
im not sure what they added but stephen king wouldnt make an ending like that
like i saw Stephen King's IT and i loved it but then i read the book and was really dissappointed about all the things they left out
but see Stephen King's IT is a 1078 page book so i dont blame them for not putting some things in or changing some things so they didnt have to put a certain part in and besides they didnt have a lot of money to make the movie so they couldnt get a lot of scenes that i wanted from the book in the movie
but over all 1408 is a good movie
not scary but more of a thriller i do agree with that

July 1, 2007It had a good story or at least you can tell that it had potential to have a good story. Seems like it was based off of a very good book that was probably a lot more scarier than this film. This movie was NOT scary. They give away far to much in the trailers so anyone with half a brain can see what's coming already and pull the pieces together. The ending was interesting, but answered basically no questions. Samuel L. Jackson should have been in it more and should have been a bad M-- Effer lke he always is. It was actually funny.

but the movie in other words as in not scary it was good so i enjoyed it in a type of way but in not the type of way i wanted to -
July 1, 2007Wasn't scary in the least.. But John Cusack's acting was pretty good. Nothing terribly awesome about this movie. I was expecting something a lot more scarier.. It was more of a psychological thriller about personal growth.

June 28, 2007OK so I went to go see it last week and it was a GOOD movie but it was flat out NOT SCARY!!!
This is more of a thriller then anything else but what can you do.
Hollywood has set the bar so high on what "scary" is that there's not alot of stuff out there that makes me jump.
there's maybe two scenes at the most that kind of made me jump a little but nothing to scream about.
Don't get me wrong, I liked Cusack and Jackson but in the end I couldn't help but feel kind of ripped off because I was Expecting soooo much more out of this film.
I haven't even been that excited about Transformers for crying out loud!!!!
They're plenty of really cool scenes that are really mindboggling and fun to watch this man go crazy in a room that he has no control over.
In the end though I can't really say that it's really scary, that is unless you're a really jumpy person. -

June 25, 2007I thought it sucked there could have been better actors,samuel l jackson was barely in it and john cusack is not that good of an actor there were better people for that role,the story could have been better maybe the book was but this movie for all it's hype like alot of horror movies sucked! and the ending was one of the worst i have seen in a long time! Wait til it comes out on dvd!!

June 25, 2007This is the movie Disturbia wanted to be. This is a smart well acted story of the evil that lurks within us and we don't realize it. John Cusack is the most underused actor in Hollywood today.
Watch this film numberous times. The first time you watch this you will be busy jumping. The next time admire Cusack's performance here. His facial expressions and his witty one liners. Also, you will never be able to listen to the Carpenters song We've Only Just Begun the same way again.
Watch this film and enjoy it. No gore required to be scary, just watch a Hitchcock film. -
June 25, 2007i felt bad for the guy sitting next to me cause i jumped so much!!! it was a very good movie and john Cusack did an extreamly good job! i would defenatly recomend this movie

If you read the story before seeing the movie, you knew what to expect. It was a very good movie, the cast was great and i have to adimit it scared me. I loved it!

Read the book! It has several short stories, 1408 being one of them. I did like the book better. The room is evil and it portrays that idea even better through the experiences of the character. When directors/producers are true to King's writings then they have the successes of Green Mile, Stand by Me, and The Shawshank Redemption.
Still recommend movie for an evening out, it's not a waste of money just to see Cusack's performance. See previous comment.
