It's been awhile since I've watched 28 days later, so I forgot how gruesome this kind of movie is. It's a great sequel. It got me to jump many times, which gets 2 thumbs up in my book.

I'm not sure why this film got such a bad reception, I thought it was really well done! The direction, the scares, the zombies and the gore all in perfect balance. I think people get to hung up on details like 'How did the zombie open the door'? Apart from George A. Romero's firs...( read more)t zombie films and Shaun of the dead, this is one of the best zombie films I?ve seen. It has a realism and an edge to it. Yeah it has cute kids in it but their father bites the hell out of one of them, also the beginning scene where the husband runs away from his wife, heart wrenching stuff, this film has intelligence and balls. I preferred it to the first film, this one?s original!

In my opinion France make the best Thrillers, America the best Action Movies and until now I thought that Japan were kings of the Horror genre. Think again! The Brits must be the worlds best horror makers. Not since Clive Barkers Hellraiser have I been so mesmerised by a horror m...( read more)ovie.

I can understand that people think it is poor compared to "28 days later" but it as a stand alone film is amazing!.

From the moment it starts with the "Chase" to the "Helicoper de-capitation" the film does not let up to breath. The characters are portrayed in a way that you do care for them and I found myself glued to the screen for the entire film. If I blinked during the 2 hours I'd be shocked. So compared to 28 days later..Different Director, Different Cast, Different Zombies and a different day... A very good day!

I liked this one, its really haunting, eerie and alittle scary as its filmed with pace, handheld cams and a gritty look. All this makes the whole thing feel really real and very graphic, it also adds to the haunting feeling, just like the first. The blood is gorey and in yr face ...( read more)but not overblow, the 'zombies' are great, the running shots just make them so aggressive and terrifying, really hits the mark with the haunting soundtrack.

Basically the story is the usual thing, the infected get into the populace and bob's your uncle...everybody's up shit creek, the ending's good too. The government try to kill everybody surprise surprise, and fail, surprise surprise, alot of people you thought would live die and its all very spooky, especially the deserted London shots. How the hell they manage that I'll never know living in London myself lol

Its the same plot really, the same kind of 'zombie' movie as all the others basically, same blood effects, same outcome, same everything to be honest, the difference is the look and feel of it, it just works brilliantly. I thought this was gonna be a crappy sequel like so many other cash in's can be...I was soooo wrong, great :)

A great film that suffers from some weak editing. It's also very narcissistic, so don't expect to just lay back and enjoy.

This is among the best of any zombie like films eyev'e ever seen! The tension is top notch teeth chattering. Like 28 Days Later everytime there is a zombie attack sequeunce the action changes to a fast and frantic handheld style. Like Cloverfield these instances may make certain ...( read more)people quizzy and nasouse. the film starts out with a group of survivors taking refuge in an isolated house when a panicking boy on the run from the infected arrives at there door pounding for entrance the survivors have no choice but to let him in. Ensueing soon afterwards is the first slaughter sequence and man is it intense with all the infected humans ripping apart the house and eating the fleeing survivors. This film isn't for everyone of course only for those who can stomach the carnage that this movie is chock-full of. This movie also ties in to themes of terrorism that we are facing now in present times. How? Eye don't want to get into detail on that in this review. Later we are introduced to a safe zone set up by the U.S. Army were the man who was forced to leave his wife behind in the mentioned sequence in my review is reunited with his kids. A while later his wife is found and examined by the soldiers and it's confirmed that she is infact infected but for some reason imune to the effects. The first response by the soldiers is that they should exterminate and cremate the host. But a female soldier smartly reacts by saying they should keep her alive and study her she may hold the key for a cure to the RAGE virus. The decision is settled and they seal the woman in quarantine. Her husband who happens to have a keycard that accesses all doors in the base dumbly goes to her and kisses her, this exposes him to the RAGE virus and he swifly becomes infected and crazed killing his wife and naturally infecting the other people taking refuge in the safezone. When it becomes all but impossible to make out the infected from the refugees the soldiers go into code red and have no choice but to shoot anything that moves in order to contain the virus. It's heartbreaking when you see the soldiers eliminating both the infected and the poor refugees. As for the man's kids well technically they are now orphans as there mother is dead and there dad is a crazed canibal. But never fear the kids are befriended by the same female soldier who offered the suggestion on researching the childrens infected mother. The newly befriended group soon teamup with tagalongs on their journey to escape the infected zone. After teaming up with yet another soldier the group recieves news that the whole area is going to be nuked. As they escape and take refuge in a sewar like area they lose there elderly woman member who didn't back far enogh into the shelter and was instantly vaporized by the flames of the nuclear bombing. After this incredible moment the film goes into a standard zombie flick mode losing a bit of steam but still remaining entertaining. This film is well worth checking out, not to be missed.

Quarantine. Eradication. Sterilization. Repopulation. Twenty-eight weeks later...it's not over. As the first wave of refugees return, a family is reunited - but one of them carries a terrible secret that threatens to reignite the deadly explosion of bloodlust, carnage, and chaos. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, 28 Weeks Later... features excellent acting performances from the following cast:
    1.) Robert Carlyle (Don)
    2.) Rose Byrne (Scarlet)
    3.) Jeremy Renner (Doyle)
    4.) Harold Perrineau (Flynn)
    5.) Catherine McCormack (Alice)
    6.) Imogen Poots (Tammy)
    7.) Mackintosh Muggleton (Andy)

When I recently watched 28 Weeks Later... I'm hoping for more terror and destruction that now leaves me off back in the original story of 28 Days Later, even if it done by a different director who's sitting down in what was once Danny Boyle's chair. Having known how scary epidemics would be if they were in horror movies, it was an excellent film and better than the first now with more panic and chaos running around. And with more blood-splattering scenes it was also more brutal and violent than ever - yeah, I know it's very sick and shocking to me, but at least I didn't faint at all. The post-apocalyptic setting where the disease-infected zombies rule is perfectly used throughout, making me think that the film is classified as post-apocalyptic sci-fi and not just zombie horror. I don't think I know anyone one in the cast besides Rose Byrne, but I liked Catherine McCormack's acting performance here, and she looked dead by appearance to me! The ending left me wondering of a possible 28 Months Later, so if the creators can make one, then I'm all ears for viewing interest.

Excellent sequel to 28 Days Later. Britain has been laid to waste by the deadly rage virus. With the infection seemingly over, the US Army start reconstruction in London. I have finally seen this it is brilliant, it's massively intense and the story is great that the virus comes through the city undetected and I was blown away by the characters and plot, Robert Carlyle is brilliant and i thought the whole film is showing what British cinema can do.
