It made be laugh so hard in some parts I couldt breath. The only thing is that buged me about this movie was James Garner I dont know what it is but in some parts he buges the heck out of me. Still love it thoe. Besides that this movie is a great movie.
One of Doris Day's best films (with a memorable theme song). This time she plays opposite James Garner (instead of Rock Hudson or Cary Grant).
One of my sentimental favorites from childhood. The plot is senseless and the first act is a bit of a slog. Don Knotts, Thelma Ritter, John Astin, and Chuck Connors round out a supporting cast that is often more entertaining than the main story. worth watching.
what could possibly be worse than having one wife and being married? that's right... having two! how the guy didn't commit suicide i don't know! one nagging bird would do my head in enough. played out in the same sense of humour as an episode of say.. be-witched, without the witchery (and nose twitching)... this film centres on a "dead" wife turning up after the widowee has got remarried. tbh, i wish marilyn monroe was still alive at the time to play the part. doris day is nowhere near as fit as her but... she did look interesting in the garden of eden scene.. and the nurses outfit bit.. well, goes without saying really...
this movie was made as sometings got to give and marylin monroe was the ellen girl i saw the old one sorta
it's a good movie, it's a remake of a movie Cary Grant made years earlier, I might have enjoyed it more had I known it was a remake when I watched it, I kept going mand this is familiar, and not only had I seen this version before I had also seen My favorite wife with Cary Grant. The two movies have a lot of similarities and differences but both are equally good.
I was so pissed the guy wouldent get rid of his new wife right away but if he did there wouldent be a move.
this definately entertainned me. doris day is so brilliant and who couldn't like james garner. another good old fashion film.
