I saw the documentry about the LA shootout before seen the film.The film is almost the exact same.Micheal madsen is brilliant as usual.The film is a little short though.

Reenacting the 44min LA shootout in detail (by bullet hole, almost documentary). Reasonable medium budget, but Good Stuff. Madsen is still cool.

MCT:May 31, 2007catches the relentlessness of the '97 shootout well but with predictably cheap camera quality. The L.A.P.D. sure did toil hard and their courage when they were blatantly outdone as far as firearms go is unquestionable. Makes for entertaining fare, decent actors in Madsen and The Cooler's Livingston.

The event really happened, and this movie seems to keep the recollection accurate. It also does not try to make anything bigger, worse or better than what actually went down
