Nice, likeable little film. I hadn't really heard anything about it when I rented this one, so I guess it wasn't all that successful, but I enjoyed it and I was glad it didn't get stupid at the end.

Great Aussie comedy-drama of a teenage boy who moves into a house from his parents to his uni student bass aunt and her friend. That was alots of funny in the party scenes.

    Funny little movie from Australia

It's good to see an author from my home town of Brisbane get a film made about his story, and what not better that to make the film in Brissy. But having not read the book, I really did not think the film did the story or Brsibane justice. Despite being backed by some high profil...( read more)e Australian film commissions, 48 shades looks and feels seriously under budgeted. The acting is only a smidge over terrible and has the feel of film made for an assignment at university. The only real talent amongst it all is played by the character of Jaq, Dan's young auntie, apart from that I'll be surprised to see any of these actors again. But despite it all, it was easy to watch and did have some original, quirky and funny bits. The book is probably pretty good, but has a 'There's Something About Mary' feel to it (minus a lot of talent) and seems quite sadly predictable.

a few glitches in the anatomy of Brisbane and waaaay too photoshopped green :P since we are in a critical drought atm...this movie annoyed me. Not as good as the book...my fav acting would have to be the actress who played Jacq - she kept it the most real. The other characters ...( read more)just annoyed the hell out of me.
