Its just another zombie flick, but why do i like it so much? Because it was just great. Freddy is a good mexican actor. I think mexican are good actors period. We got George Lopez, the guy from CRANK, Danny Trejo(one of my favorites), Jenifer Lopez, Robert Rodiguez and alot others.

Enuff of the race thing tho. This movie took the word "grindhouse" seriously. Especially the missing reel. To be honest if i was watching some action packed movie and all of a sudden MISSING REEL shows up...i would be pretty pissed. Wherever tho good thing thst doesnt happen anymore. I did like the way missing reel worked in this movie. It cut out all the possible boring stuff leading to more zombies.

Im sure this movie will be an instant classic. Really good movie.

The better of the two Grindhouse pictures, and that isn't saying much. Robert Rodriquez could've titled this "From Dusk Til Dawn: Redux"- the similarities are obvious. It's a film buff's regurgitation of recycled George Romero and John Carpenter plots, and it never becomes anything more than one big homage rather than its own horror comedy. I understand that it was a deliberate choice for Tarantino and Rodriguez to make this double feature as a means to express their adoration for B-horror and exploitation films, maybe hoping it would be heralded as a brilliant piece of post-modern escapist pop-art. I'm not buying it. Unlike the outstanding Sin City, this film is a tedious gimmick, and nothing more. These are obviously very talented filmmakers, and it's sad to see their talents wasted in this amateur experiment. Part of Planet Terror's only charm is that it doesn't take itself as serious as Death Proof and Robert Rodriguez understands he's making nothing more than schlock. The other charm is probably the films only REAL star, Tom Savini's understudy Gregory Nicotero, the outstanding make-up designer. Ive always puritanically favored the old school make-up effects over CGI; I believe computer effects are usually used as a crutch, and Nicotero's sick splatter gore has such a hilarious and intentionally over the top camp about it that I suspect it (under the surface) is probably the only real reason fan boys have responded to this film at all. The whole K.N.B. EFX gang and Nicotero's talents are used correctly in this film rather than the pornographic exploits they were used for on the god awful Hostel films by hack god Eli Roth. Who Tarantino seems to have a hard on for.

Extreme fun. Robert Rodriguez writes, directs, edits and scores his own films while running his own studio. He is one talented SOB.

a beautiful homage to exploitation cinema. could be a tad more trashy, though. the visual effects are too good at times.

I really dont know where to start. There are so many things I loved about this movie. The vintage feel to the film was awsome. The action and gore was cool. This one of course is in my collection of movies I own. OMG Rose McGowan very sexy.

Tight Action and Horror film. The zombies were scary and Rose with that gun was TIGHT! In each scene, the movie is filled with thrills, chills and non-stop action. Altough it was an Action/Horror film, I think the storyline could have used a little more help. Still, I loved the action in it.

Quite bad...and that's from a Rodriguez fan. Even for a homage to old b-movies it comes accross as quite bad. Yes, it does capture the feeling of a B-movie...but they're bad movies....so it that what they were aiming for? If not, and Rodriguez was trying to make a film in the same vein as 'From Dusk til Dawn' for example, he fails even more. The acting it quite bad, the over-the-top gore is unnessecary and the plot drags on for way too long. Very Dissapointing.

Ridiculous, gross, over-the-top, but there are still some pretty good moments. Not as good as Death Proof though.

This film is perfection itself. It is a beautiful thing to see that there are still directors out there (even if it is only one) who are willing to produce a film with minimum integrity for the sake of pure cool. Rapidly rotting would-be-rapist genitals, machine gun limbs and brain-eating mutants...what more could we possibly want for?

As a fan of basically everyone that had anything to do with these movies being made, including the fake trailers in between, this was an absolute joy to watch in the theatre. It felt truly authentic to what it was trying to reproduce. A whole lot of exploitative fun.

It has a great cast, it's gross, super cool and just great fun. Plus I honestly wanna see Rose McGowan nominated for her prformance as a one legged hot chick with a gun for a leg. If you missed out on this movie in theatres, check it out on dvd!

A bloody good time. Cannot even compare to Death Proof, but is still a very good film. Also features Quentin Tarantino's best ever acting performance.

Rodriguez delivers something much different from tarantino but totally true to the 70s grindhouse genre. He focuses on the genre of over the top B-horror/action grindhouse films and planet terror does not disappoint. Freddy Rodriguez is awesome as El Wray and Rose McGowan kicks ass as the sexy badass Cherry Darling. The movie has awesome cameos from Bruce Willis, Quentin Tarantino and Josh Brolin. It's a nonstop action zombie gore fest which is a perfect blend of horror/action and the typical cheesy story plots one would expect. Rodriguez nailed this film flawlessly in what he was going for. Planet Terror is awesome!

I just don't get the point of all movie made by grindhouse... they are all stupid. Characters don't have any history (at least that we get to know). The relationships between the characters in the movie are just stupid and "not human". At least the fights with the zombies could have been good... but they we're just random and gory... nothing really good in the movie, but some action scene we're nice and the fantastic style of the movie was nice.

This movie is so much fun. The BBQ sauce recipe subplot is great. The characters, the dialogue, the gore, and the sleaziness was everything I was looking for in this Grindhouse spoof. The end drags on just a bit towards the end, but a real treat overall.
