Great drama movie along with some action scenes about a robbery. Takes place in the hoods of LA. Not quite big actors here but still some familar faces. The story and the performances are on high level so its a enjoyable flick from start til end. Worth seeing ,, enjoy.
Great movie. Interesting story plot about a man who survives a robbery, being shot, and then left for dead. His entire world has changed and has become chaotic. While dealing with the anxieties and hardships of the ordeal, he tries to get his life back on track but feels it slipping out of his own reach. Of course, that is until he finds the men responsible, and decides on control and taking matters into his own hands.
Great cast- Rosie Perez and John Leguizamo! A must-see.
I watched this film randomly on satellite late one night/morning and I was incredibly surprised with the performance of John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez.
The director (Brad Furman) brought out subtleties in his character that were touching and personal and he gave the best performance that I can remember him giving.
The LA environment was captured in a very raw and gritty manner that makes the audience feel like they can smell the scents of the city.
When the film was over, I felt surprised because the time flew by so fast.
The cinematography was vibrant and the film had a forward moving energy that was truly captivating.
I recommend this film highly and I applaud the filmmakers!!
It was a solid film, but then again I am a huge fan of John Leguizamo for reasons unbeknownst to me... great acting all around and excellent use of the camera in this one. The storyline is pretty straightforward.
great movie with stand out performances by leguizamo and perez. a tight script with just enough grey areas to keep it interesting. there could have been better use of tyrese gibson as the movie's villan, but as far as criticisms go, that's about all i got.
