Chief Powhatan?s (August Schellenberg) youngest daughter, Pocahontas (Q'Orianka Kilcher) persuades her father to spare Captain John Smith?s (Colin Farrell) life ti spend time with Pocahontas & they eventually fall in love. Chief Powhatan sends John Smith back to Jamestown with a band of Pocahontas? villagers intend to aid the hungry men of the Virginia Company.
Pocahontas is devastated that Captain John Smith dead but she is living with the British settlers. She adopts the English way of life is later baptized to renamed ?Rebecca?.
A plantation owner John Rolfe (Christian Bale) comforts Pocahontas to fall in love with her to ask her to marry him if Rebecca doesn't love him but she agrees to marry him. John Rolfe & his wife: Rebecca has a son named Thomas (Jonathan Gonitel) Captain John Smith comes to see Rebecca still smolders. Rebecca is able to put her love for Smith in the past to embrace her love for John Rolfe. They return to Virgina.
