Filmmaker Boris Mitic pays homage to a little recognized Serbian tradition, the satirical aphorism, in the documentary Goodbye, How Are You?. As Mitic presents a visual collage of the sometimes funny and sometimes tragic flaws of his nation, we're given a chance to savor some classic bits of Serbian cynicism, such as "The minister is taking the weekend off -- that's his contribution to fighting corruption," "At any given moment, we know what we want, we just don't know when that moment is" and "I'm ready to die for what I believe in, but thank God, I don't believe in anything anymore." Goodbye, How Are You? received its North American premiere at the 2010 Silverdocs Documentary Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
