Half of it is dated but half of it is also CLASSIC. The scares are the best part and they all stem from a mysterious source which just adds layers of creepiness. Great acting, a good story and eerie ambiguity all make for one fun watch. It could've been slightly shorter in length... ...( read more )

Unsettling or disturbing is a term that gets thrown around a lot today. Usually in regards to Cronenberg or Miike or Irreversible.

The cinematography and editing were neat and added to the suspense. But I was not a fan of the movie's excessive use of voiceover.

October 3, 2008Confused with the G rating. Scariest film i have ever seen yet they allow the same audience as things like the spongebob movie to watch this. The MPAA is fucked up, unlike the British BBFC, who rate things appropiatly (it's a 12 here, and poltergeist, a PG in America is a 15 here). Don't let kids watch this.
