I love this movie so much! Alex DeLarge is the greatest villain ever! The history is amazing!

    My Review in spanish :
A mí me pareció una excelente película. La actuación de Malcolm McDowell es muy realista.

La película La Naranja Mecanica es genial porque se creó un lenguaje exclusivamente para la película y por el tema del control mental, que le dió el título a la obra. La película es muy futurista.

Lo que tomaba Alex DeLarge no era un simple vaso de leche, el Moloko Plus era una leche con droga que lo preparaba para la ultra-violencia. Obra maestra.

problaly the only story I've know that the movie is better than book. Sorry for Burgess's book fans, but Kubrick "enlighten" (oh yeah)the hole scene, characters, plot.
    Whata great movie

    cheers

If you didn't "get" this movie (note: if you thought it sucked, you didn't get it) read the book. Just do it. The significance of the political and moral themes is MUCH more prominant, especially when you include the last chapter, which wasn't included in the movie and isn't in some of the older versions of the book. Make sure it has 21 chapters (the 21st was edited out when it was released in the US).

I'd honestly have to say this movie affected me more than Citizen Kane and Casablanca did. In my eyes, this is the best movie. Can Stanley Kubrick and Malcolm McDowell be any better of a pair? Anthony conceived a masterpiece of literature. Kubrick did the same but in film.

I love this movie. The use of color is amazing and so is the music. I even love the whole storyline of it! These guys are nuts but this movie still rocks!

I'm tempted to be rather simplistic about this critique and just murmur 'it sucked' and leave it at that. This film is supposedly Kubrick's 'artistic' attempt at movie perfection. I say, supposedly, because for me (and me is all that matters in a critique that I'm writing) it not only was a deplorable attempt at 'artistry' it is a movie I think you can accurately judge someone's intelligence by. As a fan of The Shining, and 2001: A Space Odyssey, I'm saddened to impose such a harsh critique of a man who apparently has it in him to make otherwise great movies. There are very few movies that have been able to affect my mood the way this one did, regrettably I don't mean this as praise. This 'imaginative' crap sent my mood tail spinning for the remainder of the day. The only reason I can think of as to why I'd be so deeply affected was because I know there are a lot of people who love this movie and purportedly 'get it'. Who are these people? If you are amongst its fans- you scare me, and that is deeply depressing. I'll admit it's rare for a movie to inspire so much hate. Thank you Gio for playing this crap and impinging upon one of my rare Saturday's off

So good it was ahaead of its time. Lovely visuals (psychedelic schemes) yet comical too (A record store in 1995)Appropriate concept for the time and today, should violence really be fought with violence? What will the result product be? Will it go around like a clock? I could write on and on about this movie. It is surley worth all you're pretty polly.

Hands down on my top ten favorite movies list. And it is true that the book is always better seeing as I read it myself. But I admit good ole Stanley did a pretty good job adapting this into a film. You gotta give him credit though, it takes a lot to fit as much of a book as you can into 2 1/2 hours or less of film. Plus, you have to take into account what will appeal to an audience better. Anyone who read this book should also consider reading George Orwell's '1984'.

a GREAT visualization of the book. Sure the book had the superior narration, but how could the movie? As good a movie as the book was a book.

A clockwork movie is the greatest movie ever made about human behavior. there's no movie in the world that can match the influence that movie had on peoples behavior. Stanley Kubrick is a genius. Showing is what we want to see but what no one else wants to show.
