Plot:
Julia Louis-Dreyfus's Elaine on Seinfeld once offered a non sequitur at a party just to relieve her own boredom: "The dingo ate your baby," she blurted in a bad Australian accent. It was a refe...( read more

although the story is a sad one...the movie was a little slow..but its one famous line is "The Dingo Ate my Baby!!"
Gripping story that makes you question your conclusions when you think you know the truth. Describes mob mentality pretty well.
"The dingo's got my baby! " Truly, an amazing and depressing film. It's the story of a family who is camping when the mother sees a dingo take her baby. Then, both the mother and father are put in court with suspicion of them murdering their baby. It's so depressing how civilization can't just leave you alone when you're at your hardest times. ***SPOILERS*** I cannot imagine what I would've done if they didn't find that jacket, with the mother in jail! Thank goodness. ***END OF SPOILERS*** This is a film to be seen by anyone.
Based on a true story. Losing your baby to a dingo must feel like it's the end of the world...really beyond one's imagination. My heart went out to the mother...As for characterization, Meryl Streep has proven time and again that she's worth the Oscars!
for some reason I thought that there was a happier ending to this movie but apparently not.......the media was aweful in this case as was the courts.......as if losing a child wouldn't be bad enough they had a media circus following them around all the time
This is one of those films that I shockingly remember from watching it the first time around.
Meryl Streep is fantastic in this film, very impressive!
It's pretty accurate. It's sad but true, this actually happened and it is just a tragedy. Great portrayal of the media at their ugliest and society at their most ignorant and gullible.
I loved this movie so much! It is also under the name of 'Evil Angels' if ever you have trouble finding it.
An older movie and it's been a while since I've seen this one but from what I remember it was done very well, considering it was made some time ago.
This is soooo great how the media can make perfectly innocent people and DETROY THEIR LIVES because people are stupid enough to make blind opinions of people I think people who are that stupid could learn a few lessons from this film!
Fine true storyof the media and legal constructions of the Chamberlain story. Meryl Streep makes good performance as Lindy Chamberlain in her debut Aussie film.
Sorry Meryl, but you missed the boat this time. You did have most of Australia laughing hysterically at your dismal attempt at an Aussie accent though.
a.k.a. "Evil Angels". An excellent film that looks at possibly the worst case of injustice in ever in Australian history, the case of Lindy Chamderlain who's baby was taken by dingo and the Australian media and public accused her of murdering her child. This is absorbing and emotional drama that has excellent performances by Meryl Streep and Sam Neill. A must see.
So heartbreaking. But did she do it or not? A true story that took place in Australia. Meryl this is the kind of movies you do the best; drama.
Okay..everybody all together now..."A dingo...ate...my...BABY!"...hell yeah. hehe. Anyway this movie contains one of the single most memorable Meryl Streep accents saying one of the single most crazy lines in a movie, as well as the worst Meryl Streep hairdo...in a tragic and creepy story.
