Tony (Frank Sinatra) is trying to keep his failing Miami hotel afloat while raising his 12-year-old son (Eddie Hodges). As a last resort, he's forced to ask his harried brother, Mario (Edward G. Robin...( read more  read more... )son), for help, but he'll only bail Tony out if he marries a sensible woman. The trouble is, Tony isn't the sensible type -- until he meets Eloise (Eleanor Parker). This classic comedy from Frank Capra features the Oscar-winning song "High Hopes."

    Better than average Frank Sinatra film, Frank Capra's direction is a big plus. Anything with Edward G. Robinson is worth watching. Great score, top notch production.

    Not really the greatest movie that Frank Sinatra did. But, it's not like Frank Sinatra did any really great movies to begin with.

    This is a really good movie. It's got all of the great Frank Capra traits.

    The only question that I have is does Frank Sinatra's character really get it, or do his friends and family just love him for the screw up that he is?
