Nice little film with amazing performances. I love it... I ADORE it. But it's flawed. The screenplay is incredible at the beginning... sadly, after the first half hour, it starts to go down and finally it crashes and burns in the last 5 minutes. Colin Farrell 2nd best performance...( read more) to date ("Tigerland" will always be his "Godfather") and a surprisingly warm Sissy Spacek with a charming Dallas Roberts and a wacky Robin Wright Penn is not enough. This is the first film where I actually realized how good of an actor Colin Farrell is. I was completely shocked by his performance. It is the most natural I've ever seen him. A tragic ending would have made it a masterpiece.

This movie had many meaningless scenes. There was no specific direction. It had some scenes with a mixture of Gay and Straights moments. I have no problem with this life styles, but I am not a fan either. Collin Farrell didn't seem good in this character and his acting wasn't so good.I enjoyed Robin Wright Penn, but I think she was miscast for this role.

A supremely satisfying story of friendship and love. I wish it had been a bit less tactful.
