The first one was a bit on the frightening side. After that the got comical. Still they are all good movies. Other then the one the did in 3D I enjoyed them all. And that one I kind of enjoyed.

this nightmare was a pretty good sequel. wish it was better but still good for wat it was. freddy does a good job terrorizing this young boy by taking his revenge over him. there is a pretty good amount of violence & blood. overall this one was just alright for me. not one of my best out of the trilogy i can tell u that much. it might be a good nightmare for everyone else though, 3 stars.

As a horror film it's underrated but as a Nightmare film it falls flat. There are inconsistencies with Freddy here. His glove hand being changed, his ability to come into reality on command. The opening school bus scene is great and the scene when Jesse kills his friend was good as well. Overall the film is one you can skip if you want. It's not horrible however.

not a good sequal from its series. As West Craven left this one here has bad acting not just the main character but most of them. evidence when freddy comes in real most of other character didn't act scary, they acted like they were confused. The actors could have acted better and this should have been the last one and no more.

I don't remember much about this sequel. Something about Freddy sharing bodies with some dude. I gave it a low rating which might indicate that it ends poorly. To rewatch.

i haven't heard a guy scream this high-pitched and girly since i watched space mutiny. but anyway, freddy possesses the screamer and makes him murder folks. it's an alright film...but nowhere near the brilliance of the first one.

What starts out as a promising follow-up quickly becomes a sorry mess of special effects excrement. It has been five years since the first film, and Jesse (Patton) has moved into the notorious Elm Street house. He?s not even unpacked yet and he has already started having dreams starring the sweater covered psycho. Freddy moves much quicker in this one and the dream world and reality world are quickly mixed together, often causing more confusion than terror. In this installment, Freddy means to possess young Jesse and use him as a vehicle to commit more murder. At times the effects are well done, but most of the time they are being used on really stupid concepts (vicious parakeets attacking Jesse?s father for example). It culminates into a parent-approved pool party when Jesse, his Freddy transformation complete, decides to wreak havoc. The climax, and probably more honestly the last hour of the film, is thrown together and plays like the writer and director tried to jam all of their insipid ideas into it before they got their funding cut off. Freddy is still rather menacing, but his methods are just stupid this time around (including exploding hot dogs, boiling pool water, and wet towel fights). Skip this one and head to Dream Warrior, that one essentially takes it from where the first movie left off anyway.

One of the most hated Nightmare movies in the series and i dont understand why? freddy is tired of being dead and wants to be back out in the real world, great special affects. Plus robert plays an extra role as the bus driver in the beggining of the film

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 - Freddy's Revenge is about A teenage boy is haunted in his dreams by Freddy Krueger who is out to possess him to continue his murdering in the real world. Bad in many ways. Has tedious acting, and the film is only watchable when Freddy is on, killing these horrible characters.

robert englund return of the sequel as freddy krueger the boogeyman of the killer in teenage's dream. this time freddy krueger is inside of the male teenage's body. kim meyers(play as lisa)is look like an actress to meryl streep.

This movie is really cheesy, and tries a bit too hard to make itself a full fledged horror film, but its not. Its a comedy/horror. Because it tries to hard to be mainly a horror film, it's that much worse of a movie. Its ok, but the original is fifty billion times better.

Don't know what they were thinking with this one. I think Wes Craven may have thrown a shit fit because it was so bad which is why part 3 ended up being so good.

Perhaps the worst horror movie of 1985, the sequel to Nightmare pales in comparison with the others on so many levels it actually hurts.

It has some spooky moments and good special effects, but Freddy needs to stay in the dream world. The script is also pretty sloppy and the lead is a major step down from Nancy.

The worst of the entire series, I understand they wanted to do something different but it just didn't work.

The movie takes place five years after the events of the first film. None of the cast from the first film return. The Welch?s have moved into the house that Nancy once lived. I didn?t like Nightmare 2 as much.. The movie is about Freddy trying to take over the body of Jesse. The movie has great special effects by Kevin Yagher. Robert plays the bus driver in the beginning of the film. The film picks up during the last half of the film. Nancy is only mentioned in a diary that she left in the house that is found by Lisa and by Jesse?s best friend Ron. This chapter in the series in for die hard nightmare fans only. I thought the third one was better and it brought back the Nancy character back and the dad back. So I would skip part 2 all together.

Not that I'm a homophobe, but seriously there was no reason for a film to be this GAY! Its actually how comical the gay inuendos of this one are so blatantly thrown in your face! Easilly the worst in the Nightmare series(and not because its gay), and thats saying a lot with NOES 5 and Freddy's Dead in the mix!

Wow, even the movie poster for this film is shitty.
The review below by "wrathtdk" is 100% right. The one that said "Almost like the original" needs to watch this again. Why. WHY would Freddy need to possess a living teenager? HE HATES TEENAGERS, WHY WOULD HE WANNA BE ONE? Why wold he want to live in the real world where he can be hurt? This movie goes to show not many horror films work with a male lead in its cast. Most heros of horror tend to be HEROINES. Here, this guy had all the masculinity of jello. He screamed like a bitch. A lot. Not surprising that kid did not star in any other movies. At ALL.
What saves the day in the end? LOVE. AWWWWW.
And we have the homoerotic scene in the gym shower. blech.
Oh, and the super 80's BIG LOGO graphic at the beginning of the movie. LAME!
ALSO: The writer of the movie only wrote 3 more movies after this.
