    I dig it. The kid is great in it, and Hugh Grant does an okay job, too. And it's got the amazing Toni Collette in it.

    I liked this movie... obviously. I like movies where the characters are quirky and less than perfect; more real with depth them.

    i think that this is a very dragging movie..it's interesting..it applies to my palate..but i think some people may not like this movie...

    Nicholas Hoult is great in his debut role as the geeky but totally sweet Marcus, who is worried about his suicidal mum, Fiona{the brilliant Toni Colette}. This movie is really sweet, and Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult are great together.














    This is a really sweet and funny movie with great acting by newcomer, Nicholas Hoult. The character Will was made for Hugh Grant. Brilliant.

    The acting and stroy were good and it was real funny but it also had its thouching moments. One of Hugh Grant's best.

    Love it. Hugh Grant should be on my favorites list, also the movie "Love Actually", also Emma Thompson and Keira Knightley

    If I was made to watch a film over and over again, it would be this one. And badly Drawn Boy are a great band.

    Surprisingly a very wonderful story on a friendship most would judge not appropriate. I enjoyed this movie.

    I hate hugh grant, so I guess I hate this movie, no I do, the only part I like is when the boy is singing shake your ass in school

    it was sad and kinda depressing but very moving. i was in love with hugh grants characters wardrobe!!!!!!!! i also loved his entire apartment/condo space!!!

    Hugh Grant plays the same character in every movie. That being said, this was actually good. Toni Collette is awesome

    I can honestly say that I wasn't looking forward to watching this movie as I don't usually get into drama films but I decided to watch it because Hugh Grant usually makes a drama film funny. This movie was definately much better than I had expected but still lacks alot to be named a comedy film. If you're a drama fan then I would probably recommend it but otherwise it is quite average.

    Hugh Grant was incredibly funny, he's such a natural actor. I also can't believe how young Nicholas Hault was here.

    My favourite scene has to be when Marcus throws the big loaf of bread on the duck, I couldn't stop laughing.

    i cant believe all of flixster gave this such a high rating..it was cute, yes but thats about it. oh and Hugh Grant was sexy as always.

    Really funny! Nick Hoult is so young, he really grew into those eyebrows... and the only other film apart from four weddings in which I can actually stomach Hugh Grant

    It's been a while since I've seen this, but I had just finished the book (which I enjoyed) and I remember being pleasantly surprised by the movie. Worth a look, although I missed the Nirvana references.
