Alex de la Iglesia's first film obviously sucks big time, but I owe respect to him because he was the first Spanish director that dared to challenge the national regime in Spain that was present for a long time, and on top of that, Almodovar decided to produce it, considering the very low budget Alex de la Iglesia had since the beginning. This crappy film is a spoof of several genres, such as science fiction, horror and thriller. The script sucks (although it's very funny), the special effects are laughable, the acting sucks (and it's also funny because of the characters), and the story is dumb as hell. Alex de la Iglesia really established his unique and crazy style here. Recommendable ONLY to Alex de la Iglesia followers who want to know how he started. After all, it is definitely not his worst film...

Not even close to being as good or as funny as El Dia De La Bestia. Alright film, not my sense of humor, went in the wrong direction.

Put Leone, Craven, Tarantino and Lucas in a blender. Add a little sulfuric acid. Accion Mutante is pretty close to what you'll get.
