March 12, 2009I have Across the Universe on DVD and I liked Across the Universe. In Across the Universe I liked Jude, Lucy, Max, Sadie, Jo-Jo and Prudence.

December 27, 2008This movie just blew my mind. I've always loved musicals, but Across the Universe just made my soul sing- it sounds cheesy, but I felt awed the whole time, the scenes, the colours, the music itself. It all was just wonderful... it might be the hippy in me, but I think this movie is one of the best movies Ive ever seen.

September 20, 2008The people who ruined the Beatle's music made me want to cry of how terrible it sounded. BUTCHERED! Also, I was really bored for most of the scenes because they dragged on. I don't recommend it to those who actually appreciate the Beatle's and who aren't interested in two hours of boredom with only like three entertaining parts. I was sadly dissapointed. SO STUPID. i think this puts the Beatles to shame. I mean seriousley, they name some of the characters Jude, Lucy, Prudence, and D.Eggman. Major cliche and it all just frustrates me. Such a dumb way to make dumb 13 year olds THINK they appreciate the Beatles and that they are all psychadelic flower children now even if they are just jumping on the bandwagon un aware/ not understanding the actual music and actual culture- which is a cash machine for the company. bah. The only thing that I will say good is that it is one of the most visually beautiful movies I have ever seen. Many beautiful ideas and concepts to make your mind think.

May 30, 2008I LOOOOOOOOOOVED This movie and i like their twist on the beatles music they did, the voices and music are so much better than the how the original beatles did it. no matter what other ppl. might say. it's inspirational even cause of the time period and what was going on and now whats going its good!!

March 18, 2008I've been listening to the beatles since I was born, and to me this movie has great performances, good choice of vocals and the scenes are very moving. I loved it.

February 28, 2008"NOT a musical.. NOT a movie" This whole whatever it was.. was everywhere and to me didn't make a lot of sense. The only part I did like and the song was "Let It Be". Don't get me wrong I do like the Beatles but thats all this film had to offer. It was very artsy in most parts and it was like watching songs being reborn into film. The scenes themselves did not follow through or have a pattern with the characters. The whole of the movie was one big Beatles tribute. I was sadden for this film because I actually thought it would be enjoyable. 2 stars

If you have any respect for the Beatles, don't waste your time on this movie. If you've never listened to their music and want to tell your friends about what a huge 'fan' you are even if you don't know anything about the 60's, then I guess this movie is for you.

February 14, 2008O M G!!! this movie was AMAZING!!! after watching this movie the Beatles became like my favorite band. it was sooooo good, my eyes were GLUED to the tv!!!! LUV LUV LUV IT!!!
