Another Great Horror-Comdey Classic! Christina Ricci Was Great As Wednesday Addams! The Best Part...Wednesday Addams Burning The Thanksgiving Day Set To Dust. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Not as good as the first, due to Gomez (insanely performed by Raul Julia) not having enough to do, as the creepy Addams have to save Uncle Fester from his gold-digging bride-to-be. The evil Debbie is hilarious, her slide-show a highlight, and Thing is still brilliant. A lot of fun, but not as good as it could have been.
The inspiring sequel to the grim tale of the spooky kooky family Addams. This time they try to save their uncle Fester from an obviously evil vamp. Has a better story than the first. Angelica Huston and Raool Julia chew scenery. Christina Ricci is forever typecast as gothic girls after this.
Haven't seen the first one of these films, but I love this one. I love Fester (Played by one of my favourite actors Christopher Lloyd!) Love Jives as well!
wow i have not seen this movie in ages but thought that this was a funny movie...i think the 1st 1 is better but they are both so good 2 watch cuz they are really enjoyable n funny...i think that christina ricci is beautiful n sexxi as always n she plays a good part throughout both these movies...i have just found out that joan cusack plays in this movie n think she is a good actress because she has done some good movies throughout..this is a feel-good comedy movie
I just love that Joan Cusack becomes the deranged killer "the Black Widow" all because her parents bought her Malibu Barbie instead of Ballerina Barbie.
Loved this movie. Genius casting made it possible for the entire cast to gel so well together and be able to translate their great chemistry on screen. Aside from that, this movie was such a visual treat to watch. Definitely two thumbs up.
I like how the creepiest couple find some horrible words to flirt : "Oh Gomez it's so depressing ! The funniest part of the movie , I think it's the Thanksgiving play when Wednesday completly modifies the text and turns this Happilly-silly play into a theatrical disaster ! This Rocks !
classic and perhaps better than the first..awwh so many funny moments, fun for all the family, awwh i'm even laughing thinking about it..cousin it that is and his baby..awwh
This movie maintain the unique qualities set by the original. The family has a reverse sense of right and wrong, good and evil. However, the movie's entertainment level goes down drastically. The biggest problem is the use of very cheap jokes. For example, the summer camp is HIGHLY childish and predictable. I can easily think of much more entertaining events to happen in the camp. Nonetheless, Raul and Anjelica continue to shine as the perfect couple. Joan Cusack also delivers a wonderful performance as the villain. Sadly, I would not recommend the Addams Family to anyone cuz its just too bizzare.
The full original cast returns for the goulishly funny sequel with Christopher LLoyd as uncle Fester Addams who falls in love with a gold digger who tries to steal the Addams family fortune. Again Christinna Ricci steals the show as the Goulishly delightful Wednesday Addams
One of those films that I had to watch to satisfy someone else. Raul Julia and Christina Ricci kept me interested enough to pay attention for most of the film.
Enjoyable, slightly dark, family fun. This was just on TV and reminded me of watching it at the cinema when i was 12!Of course back then i didn't get the more darkly humourus side of it but i did this time and that made the film even more enjoyable. The whole cast obviously had fun making this and it was good to see a young Christina Ricci as Wednesday Addams, all sweet and pale,if a little weird, compared to the blonde, messed up slut from Black Snake Moan!
The majority of this film is a retread of the first - a stranger comes to the family intent on stealing their fortune, but where this film shines is whereby the makers finally saw how fantastic Ricci was as Wednesday and deservedly gave her a subplot of her own and its this that keeps the film going as she gets to stretch the character out, and in style. Ideally, someone should make a Wednesday Addams movie where she goes to Uni or goes to work in the city or somesuch.
Stupid but it's typical Addams Family stuff. The plot is all over the place but I suppose that really doesn't matter as this is really a kids film. And one that I enjoyed quite a lot as a child. Christopher Llyod is quite funny and I loved Christina Ricci as Wednesday. I don't think it really passes as a film that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. It has everything that you would want from it but it just lacks quality at the same time.
