Jo (Terry Nimajimbe) is a gifted soccer player who is poised to make a career for himself as a professional athlete. Jo is also black, while his girlfriend Julie is white and struggles to cope with life in a broken home and blighted neighborhood. Julie has a rival for Jo's affections in Fatima (Eye Haidara), who seems to walk with each foot in a different culture. Meanwhile, Mouss (Oumar Diaw) is a black teenager infatuated with a white girl, Daphne (Salome Stevenin), but his natural shyness works against him when he tries to ask her out. And Yannick (Paco Boublard) is a cocky white delinquent who has fallen for racially mixed Melissa (Djena Tsimba), though she shows almost no interest in him. As the characters interact, filmmaker Audrey Estrougo follows the action from two different perspectives -- first as things are seen by the young men, and then as they're viewed by the young women. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

... the debut feature from French director Audrey Estrougo has echoes of Abdellatif Kechiche's L'Esquive... but has its own sensibility and its own vivid surprises.
