Relatively good fun but definitely of its time!

I have seen this many times and never grow tired of watching it. It seems the more I watch it, the funnier it gets. It is fucking hilarious!

I especially think that Steve Buscemi and Brendan Fraser are the funniest in this flick. I love the girl that played Chazz's girlfriend as...( read more) well, the way she would beat the crap out of Chazz was too much!

I don't think that anybody that ever was in a Rock-Roll band could watch this movie without cracking up. I guess maybe you had to be there?

If you haven't seen this film I recommend that you rent it, or better yet buy a copy to add to your collection. This is a classic Rock-n-Roll comedy that you must see

"The music. The legend. The hostage situation."

A hapless rock trio consisting of Chazz (Brendan Fraser), Rex (Steve Buscemi), and Pip (Adam Sandler) hits a brick wall with their attempts to get their demo tape played by record label executives. Chazz, on the edge since b...( read more)eing thrown out by his girlfriend (Amy Locane), decides it's time to take more serious action, and he leads his bandmates on a mission to invade the local "alternative" rock station, KPPX, and hold it hostage to get the band's tape played on the air. The station staffers don't realize that they're being held with a water gun, and when they finally agree to play the tape, it gets eaten up by a faulty machine.

Although grunge is long and gone, one can look back at this movie and still love it. Almost fourteen years old and it still cracks me up. Now with the fact that all the main characters are stars (including the blonde-haired David Arquette) it would be impossible to get them all to star in it today. God bless the pairing of Steve Buscemi and Adam Sandler.

Call me crazy, but I enjoy Airheads. Steve Buscemi, Adam Sandler, and Brendan Fraser holding up Rebel Radio, as The Lone Rangers, to get their demo played. Bitingly funny in spots.
Have to enjoy the supporting cast of this film, Amy Locane, Judd Nelson, David Arquette, Michael M...( read more)cKean, Joe Mantegna, Michael Richards, Chris Farley, Ernie Hudson, and even a cameo from the great Harold Ramis.
Sure it's cheesy, but everyone loves to Rock and Roll! Besides, who secretly hasn't wished for a football helmet full of cottage cheese and naked pictures of Bea Arthur?! Yummy! :)

fun if only to look at the early careers of the stars

It has a reasonably good cast, but that doesn't salvage this film. It just doesn't make the grade. Poor writing a direction. It's a miss, but there are some undeniably good scenes.

I need to rewatch this but it was very funny when I watched it many years ago. It seems I have a thing for Brendan Fraser movies.
