that was a really good movie i liked it so much
This is what i called an inspiring story. Akeelah made it from the very first step until she gained an honour to be the contestant of national spelling bee.
Akeelah And The Bee is the story of a very smart 11 year old girl from South Los Angeles, and her journey to the Script's National Spelling Bee.
The story was predictable, but that is what I expected from this type of story. Maybe it was my inner nerd shinning through, while I w...( read more)
I have never enjoyed a PG-rated film like I have this one. This may be classified as a "kid's film" but I disagree. It's such a great and inspiring film. I have never been that excited in a movie since I watched Seabiscuit. Keke Palmer does a terrific job, especially for her bein...( read more)
there are a lot of things that I liked in this movie, and some ideas and concepts that are near my way of thinking......
inspective movie:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God t...( read more)
This movie took me by suprise. I had crocodile tears in my eyes for about half of the movie. I suspect this was manipulatively done but isn't that what a movie is suppose to do, draw you in? At any rate this movie not only was very entertaining but had all the right messages, of ...( read more)
A movie about smart and value but being an unexpected heroine for a not-so-scholastically driven school/ area can also be damanding and beneficial. This is one very apporoved kids movie; they may be inspired to be better in educational matters
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. An...( read more)
this was a pretty good movie javier and dylan were cute it makes me feel like a loser cause i dint even pass my school be although i got second place trophy
It follows a formulaic plot structure, but I really liked how it explored the cultural and social divisions amongst classes in Los Angeles.
A predictable underdog story that has something fun and interesting to add to it.
this was actually pretty good. nice subject, you never see something like that anymore. keke palmer isn't that great of an actor in other movies, but in this, she was great.
This movie is very inspirational because it tells that never give up. :)
A good inspirational film with a typical storyline. Similar to Disney Channel movies.
I'm all set with any spelling bee movies. Especially ones with Angela Bassett.
Good movie. Some cuss words here and there but a good film for the family.
With this film everything falls into place. Director Doug Atchison knows his material is Hallmark-quality fluff and directs it as such. The film looks satisfyingly polished. There's an abundance of generic preachiness; the film quotes a lot from Mandela and Dr. Larabee seems pers...( read more)

I like this movie and i think Keke Palmer is a great actor this movie!! =D
Very Inspiring. Every kid should see. shows that age does not limit one from achieving big accomplishments. Good for the whole family.
Was a decent film, it had a strong message and Palmer was talented.
it was a really good movie about a girl who follows her dreams of becoming a national spelling bee champ
