I really really really really want to see this.
One of the most amazing movies you'll see, even if you're not a Kurosawa fan
This is my favorite movie of all time.
I love the setup of the film with several small stories. Everything has that unreal yet vivid feeling of a dream.
Not only do these stories represent dreams, but some of them show some things that might happen or have happened in such...( read more)
A beautiful and tragic vision of our world through the fantasy of dreams.
Beautifully done. I like the part when the guy gets caught up in Van Gogh's paintings.
I would argue that Kurosawa saved the best for last. My favorite of his movies, which is saying a lot when you consider all of his masterpieces.
Beautiful, required viewing for all people interested in life, art, and Vincent Van Gogh.
una esquisita secuencia de historias que evidencian todo la parte moral y de personalidad de las personas, la vida y la muerte, el deseo, lo que se quiere ser y se ve truncado y finalmente los sueños como su nombre lo dice.
Steven spielberg-George lucas.... co-produced this movie with akira kurosawa...really worth to see..great achievement!!!
Artistic doesn't mean boring!...Could you fight without fighting?...Could you see without hanging on your sight skills?...
May not be Kurosawa's best, but most of these stories are unforgettable. A boy staring at a single peach blossom, the demon at my side, the tunnel, van gogh, the village of windmills,.. I love this flick.
No una pelicula para todo el mundo debido a que es lenta, pero excelente fotografia y toca temas muy interesantes
absolutely gorgeous journey through colour and through the human spirit. requires patience to watch, as kurosawa's pacing is very slow and deliberate. a masterpiece in choreography, colour, theme and love of filmmaking.
Oh I definitely want to see this. Kurosawa is credited for helping inspire Star Wars and just about every action movie since the 1960s.
I like this movie when watched in pieces but I don't like watching all the way through.
Kurosawa's most beautiful movie. A collection of japanese short stories in which Akira blends myth and color in a profound journey into aestthetics. If you like Kurosawa's technique in B&W, wait till you see what he does in colors. Amazing!!
The dreams, what a precious place where all the things that we wish and hate become true for one moment.
Like a writer, many of my dreams and nightmares serve me to create news and strange worlds where anything is possible, Akira Kurosawa and others like Salvador Dalí or Takas...( read more)
I do not know how true is it that all 8 scenes are his exact dreams. Nevertheless, I think it is extremely bold to create a film that is so much like real dreams that it moves away from the usual movies hook. Very slow paced and illogical most of the time. You will only like it i...( read more)
Kurosawa's observations and interpretations of changes in life and nature. Good on big screen with surround sound or on your iPod.
With each dream I love this movie more and more. That scene at the end... it's like heaven. That's where I want to go to die. Don't we all?
pretty fulfilling movie. this is actually a series of 8 short films that average around 15 minutes each. they are short films about the actual dreams of kurosawa. george lucas and martin scorcese helped make this film and a variety of actors starred in the various short films....( read more)
Lucas and Spielberg did an amazing job showing the amazing series of short stores -- completely irresistable!
The returning soldier in the fog is my all time favorite... it's an awesome movie... Kurosawa san rocks!
artsy but ohh so slow.do not watch before u go to bed. it will be a perfect lullaby.
Truly extraordinary. The watching is an experience, as well as entertainment.
some of it was better than others. it was a collection of eight short films. the colors in it were beautiful and i loved the way he used the sounds and music. in this one short one i didnt particularly like they said the best thing. they were talking about how a nuclear plant had...( read more)
