In the midst of a heated family discussion with 13-year-old Jessie and 15-year-old Sean, Jake is called upon to fly emergency medical supplies to a tiny village. En route, his plane crashes in the high Alaska range, prompting his concerned children to personally embark on a rescue mission. Initially at odds with each other, Jessie and Sean soon find that they must learn to work together if they are to survive in the wilderness. With a poacher hot on their trail, Jessie, Sean, and the polar bear cub they've rescued brave the elements, encounter formidable obstacles and ultimately learn profound lessons about mankind, nature and the importance of family.

    Charlton Heston slums it as a poacher in this wilderness nonsense that sees a pair of american brats climb up and down mountainsides in between bouts of utterly contrived "suspense". They are helped along the way by a friendly polar bear, which are always handy to have around. If...( read more) they fell in the sea, I presume they'd be saved by a shark who does some volunteer work for the samaritans on the side. Or a box jellyfish with a heart of gold...

    Really corny stuff here, poorly acted. One of the few pluses is some great scenery. The writing is ordinary and cliched. It lacks excitement, the humor is strained. Bland.

    A goodfamily adenture flick with a very cute polar bear cub. Good storyline and great scenery made for a great film, plus I just loved seeing Alaska it's such a beautiful place.
