a great bit of innovative, albeit trippy animation. a classic story retold as only Walt Disney could. Alice herself was a little obnoxious, but the rest of the characters were delightfully memorable and quite hilarious. I still find myself humming "a very merry unbirthday" every now and then.
Well I Love it but not in an enthusiastic way. The movie comes off a bit dreary, and seems more for an old audience (The songs they chose, the way they speak, alice voice, etc), It was probably meant to be that way, or probably because it was made in the 50 's, but still... I figure in a world where any nonsense is possible, it would be a little more entertaining or lively, you get the picture but it lacked fun, makes you want to drift off in a wonderland of your own at times, the queen was very awakening though... Still give it a 5, the nonsense makes sense, just hoped it came off more childishly mature, than maturely childish, that's all.
*heart attack* Tim Burton is going to remake this amazing classic and I am ecctatic to see how it turns out next year.
5 million+++ stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the heck were they smoking when they made this movie? From the very beginning to the very end, Alice takes you on an acid trip you wouldn?t believe. Adapted from the novel Through the Looking Glass, this Disney classic gives us characters that are cemented in history forever; characters such as the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts, and the Walrus and the Carpenter (a scene that deeply disturbs me). However, I?m still confused over what the White Rabbit was late for.
This film isn't about drugs it's a about a certain type of drug: mushrooms. The stylization of the film is the nicest part. The story is crammed up in there, but still an enjoyable watch for any age.
This puts animation to fantasy. I love the feel of this movie. It could almost be creepy in ways. The story was great and the movie was made pretty good.
One of the most visual masterpieces of Walt Disney. I feel that it came before it's time though. Still, it has some of the most memorable characters and songs.
Why oh why did Disney ruin this story!?
Okay, so if you don't know the story of Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass, it would be okay.
But if you love Lewis Carrol, then AHHH.
It is horrible!! The story is all mixed around, and Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee arn't even IN Alice in Wonderland, they are supposed to only be in Through the Looking Glass
It wasn't really worth watching. The characters don't stick around long enough to give you time to be concerned about them, and Alice just isn't one many people would find endearing after an overall analysis.
There was much that was so far from the truth of the original story that I'd go as far to say it was simply titled Alice in Wonderland and used the same character names, but you'll have to see it at least once in your life, I'm sure, esecially if you know me.............but if you want to vomit afterwards, it's probalby condoned.
love this movie, very interesting to watch when you actually understand more stuff @_@ lol, its amusing when the say 'a mile hight' instead of 'a mile tall'
My dad taped this when it was on TV a few years ago and I occasionally find myself watching it. I'm not really into Disney movies but this is fantastic. My favourite childhood movie.
One of the most enjoyable Disney features is (surprisingly?) full of 1000 drug references thanks to Carroll's novel. The most dark comedy you'll find in a Disney flick.
I loved this one so much that i named my nanny, alice in wonderland, and i'm 14 and when i named her that i was like 4 and it's still stuck as her name.lol
Who else believes me that this whole story is based on this girl trippin' on some sort of drug she probably found in that garden of hers?? still good though. We can all relate HAHA
