I'm not an Alien Vs. Predator fan, nor have I seen it, and this sequal didn't convince me to do so.
To begin with, the plot is daft in my opinion; a predator going to earth alone to fight multiplying aliens for fun. Sounds to me like an excuse for a blockbuster money raking sequal.
This aside the acting is mediocre on the most part. The dialogue delivered rarely draws you in deeply and I found myself not caring at all for any of the characters. This wasn't helped by the script.
Alot of the film seems to centre around us watching a certain person through the eyes of the alien or predator, then returning later with another character to find the previous character decapitated. I got the idea after the second time. On top of this, to me there was no protagonist. The film cut so frequently from character to character that the few who may have been considered the "mains" were lost and disconnected, so that when people started dieing, I didn't care.
The end fight was also a bit dissappointing, we couldn't see the fight in much detail...to be honest it looked like two costumes being thrown at each other in the dark and the rain. This was followed by a cringing generic "there's probably going to be a sequal ending".
Besides all the above points, the film was entertaining. Some of the action sequences, violence, special effects and tension were great.
Overall, a mediocre action movie that doesn't do anything new, but that does entertain. I can't help but feel that fans will be dissappointed.
Ehhh, Ok movie. The first one was decent and fun movie, this one felt a little too low budget, mediocre story and actors. Almost felt like Jason or Freddy should pop out and kill some kids who are fornicating.
Not as good as the first lacking in Storyline from the first (if anybody seen the first you will nderstand) lots of blood and aliens and the Predalien this time...triple threat macth!
Although many will say this is better than the first Aliens vs. Predator I have to say it ties. This sequel really didin't impress me that much although the story was a bit more enjoyable the fighting was too up close and short and many of the scenes felt too dark to even see what was happening.
Its okay my friend said it waz gory and scary i watched it and got dissapointed it wasnt any of them at all. But i come from a family who watches scary movies and made me watch them since i waz a baby!!!
+the movie did'nt really hav a storyline like avp!!! And it waz two dark. Not many ppl enjoyed it bcu of the storyline bit.
Certainlythe worst movie of 2008, and a strong contender, in my opinion, a serious contender for the worst movie ever made - certaibly in its genre. "The Brothers Strause" clearly have no idea about building tension, nor an engrossing (or, let's be honest, coherent) storyline; and, to put the final nail in the coffin of this excuse for a cinematic offering, they failed to deliver in the only category they did previously score marks, the special effects, as the vast majority of the film's scenes are far too dark to be anywhere close to effective. This may have been the biggest waste of 86 minutes in my entire life
This is the worst film I ever saw. Filming too dark, no character development, no plot (or the weakest cliched plot I've seen in a mainstream movie for a while), and they've played around with th Alien biology too much to be consistent with the other films. This has completely ruined both the Alien and Predator franchise, hopefully this will see an and to this series. Do not buy, rent, or even waste time downloading this movie.

I LOVED this movie!! The effects were great and the action was awesome!! Bringing together two species that threat the human race and I gotta admit showin a kid get aliened off in the first 20 min of the movie was great!! Non stop action from begining to end!!
Lame not a good film let down the producers said that it will re live the horror of the orinal films of alien and predator but it did not exicute that protacol
This film is deeply flawed on so many levels. This would have been ok if it were a straight to dvd movie under another name, but as a big budget alien / predator movie, its an abomination. It may have been better if i could SEE WHAT THE HELL WAS HAPPENING
It sucked!!! It based on that you knew the monsters were scary. And what's with the score? Trying to get us in the mood? I could draw a better bad ass monster in my sleep! And a bimbo blond? Oh GOD!
